Seriously. There are few things I hate more than those damn birds. I'm going to go ahead and assume they're from Novia Scotia.
-
I always yell at them "go back to Canada!". It's probably a good thing that they're not Mexican geese or else people would give me even worse stares than they already do.

For whatever crazy reason, the wife doesn't believe that died at the end. I pray that she never sees this guy's car because not only will that fuel her insanity, but she'll also start thinking it was a documentary.

For the first time ever, I just thought about how much money would be saved if a home loan had 0% interest. My day is now ruined.

He has a good taste for tv though.

It's different for everyone though. I can't think of any experience ever remotely like this tied to smell. It can be more generic, like say the smell of an ice rink in general or the smell of cheerios (who among us doesn't have that one?), but I never tie those things into a specific moment. -
If they threw one of the NHL games from the 90s out there and updated it with the current teams and rosters, I'd be all over that. I'd have to make Sidney Crosby's head bleed.

The residents of NS, one in particular, scare me off.

There's this guy in our parking garage who either has two cars (minivan and sedan) with the same exact set of 15+ bumper stickers/magnets or he routinely switches them back and forth between the two vehicles. I like to think it's the latter and he has no life whatsoever. I guess it's possible that they're not all the same, but there are three very distinct ones that I notice each time: a Heisenberg face, the old flying Eagles logo, and a confederate flag with initials over it. The combination of those last two really makes no sense, does it?
-
In that case, he should have learned how to spell it.

I don't know the exact line combinations for those other teams, but I have a few guesses as to who those guys with the lower percentages were skating with.

New Sabres beat writer for the Buffalo News

That should get beaten out of him soon enough. -
The same Amy Pfister that's the daughter of longtime East Aurora head pro Ed Pfister?
-
The first name that came to mind was Tim Wakefield, but I see that he only got to 200.

Did I see something at some point about SDS buying drinks for everyone at the most recent sabrespace gathering? -
You're really good at posting gifs that make absolutely no sense.

It's too bad brawndo booted the spelling in the thread title. -
Bad things man.

Please tell me it's the old "Leader of the Sack" poster.

I'd stay away from Hossa's jock. Things might get really itchy.

I keep a log of every single thing done to that car in a notebook in the glovebox, along with all the paperwork. It's nice to shove that in their face when they try to scam you. A few years back I had a dealership put the wrong size tires on my car. At that point I knew nothing about tires so I missed it. Months later when I complained to them, they tried to say that they just matched what was previously on the car. "Oh, really? Here's my previous receipt..." That was when I started keeping the log. The paperwork's always there, but it's much easier to find it thanks to that notebook.

I had to get mine inspected yesterday at a place I never go to (a Firestone shop). It was amazing watching them try to scam me out of as many dollars as possible. I always eavesdrop as much as possible when waiting at those places and they were doing the same exact routine with every single customer. It's a different part each time, but every single person got the suggestion to have some random obscure part replaced. It was night and day compared to the local mechanic shop I deal with. The best part was when they suggested I need new tires even though my current ones are practically new already.

Would that be the more generic story that talks about a few of these types of sales over the years? I didn't see that until now, just the quick summary piece that was pretty much cut and paste out of their bios. But anyway, it was kind of interesting to read through. I can't imagine that the real estate and development reporter is all that used to getting all that many eyes on his stuff.

I'm always surprised that people take anything away from watching these beer league clips. Andrew Peters could dangle in those leagues. Obviously the kid has talent, but I'd much rather see it from world junior or his swedish league highlights.
