So much talk coming through the parent of an established NHL vet. That whole thing feels a bit awkward to me.

Amateur. You need to take the phone away before tying them up and throwing them in the trunk.

Interesting. I didn't know they award it right away, but figured they'd wait until Toronto touches the puck. I wonder if that would void out any assists if a pass had sprung loose Pysyk.

And I have a last name where people routinely add a "c", so I consider myself to be the resident authority on what happened here to Dave. And your name is 11, so of course it looks the same when flipped upside down.

Stop cutting in line and save it for thursday.

There's cap recapture if the structure of the contract requires it, but that's it. The Devils still have minimal amounts for Kovalchuk through 2025.

There's no way that they're running events like that through the team's equipment guy. Why waste his time on something that is not intended for a game? Some stiff in promotions is probably running that stuff. They outsource the jerseys to whatever company it is and then don't bother to open the box until the day of the event. That's not the only person who didn't bother to check it as I'm willing to bet that Dave didn't either.

Because they've already allowed other teams to do the same, like us with Berglund and the Devils with Kovalchuk. I guess I'm ok with it except that the player should not be allowed to return during the life of that contract they violated. The league missed that chance though when they allowed Kovalchuk to return.

Right now he has the lowest shots/game figure of his entire career, other than his rookie season. That makes me wonder about the part in bold, if he has weeded out some of the lower probability shots from his game.

Now they just need to get those assists back up there to get him beyond Draisaitl/McDavid territory. Whether it's trough a reunion with Skinner or continuing growth from Olofsson, the potential here is incredible.

The awkward camera work does seem to add a bouncing effect to the object in question.

To be fair to 11, I originally read your post the same way, like you were asking about the 60th anniversary.

The 90s had two both the originals and the goathead. I must have missed that game because I don't know what they did, but it's sounding like goathead from this conversation. But what about the guys who were on the team only in the early 90s and only wore the original, were they out there in the goat? But yeah, I get the main point of your question... do they dare bring the slug back out there.

I just paged the expert. Hopefully he'll solve this mystery.

Paging @inkman, you have a call on the white courtesy phone. @inkman, please report to the white courtesy phone.

But we need to whine about everything sabre related. Haven't you been reading the board lately?

So one bad trade now equates to "constantly" getting conned and suckered? That's one hell of a logical leap right there. I look through the rest of his deals and I don't see anything that come close to that label. I can see some people suggesting Vesey or Sheary, but I see those as more of a buy low swing and a miss.

It typically works better if you don't bother responding to him.

Brother matchups would actually be a fun one. There are so many options there. You now have me wondering if Marty Biron ever got a chance to play against his little brother (the little brother who was like 5 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier).

I can't wait until Pegula gets blamed for the merge.

It's even better when they back into the slanted parking spots. The angles involved in doing that, it's a complete s-show. And a follow-up on my traffic complaint. Yesterday on the way home, a car in the left lane decided to quickly come to a full stop because they missed their exit. A full stop in the left lane of a road with a 75 MPH speed limit. I'd label that one as suicide if it had gone bad.

Are you intentionally spamming us with 85 different threads all about the same exact thing?

@Taro T maybe crap shoot wasn't the right word, but teams have very different expectations in mind when taking a goalie in the 1st round vs. in the 6th. I'd have to imagine they're expecting an NHL guy (either starter or backup) out of that first round guy. It's only a hope for a guy like Ullmark or that 5th rounder in Miller, but I doubt you'll ever hear any GM say they expect that guy to make it. But regardless, it really doesn't mean all that much for the comparison being made, I'm mostly just thinking out loud on this one. I can live with it, although it's a bit more positive on Ullmark than I'd be.
