  1. And the NHL is no NFL. There is no 'restructuring' in the NHL. Contract are fixed when signed and are all guaranteed money (exception: rookie ELCs and senior veteran one-year contracts can have performance bonuses.)
  2. I bet there are a lot of herpes sufferers who would be jealous that his contract will, in fact, go away after four more seasons. ?
  3. The Sabres were lucky to only be down by one. The difference in play was more glaring than the score indicated.
  4. https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2019/wm20/schedule Click on any game and then on the statistics tab. I can't actually see the whole table, but when I copied it into Excel or printed to a PDF, it did show TOI. Samuelsson had 17:25 in the last game against Russia, which was 4th for defensemen. Against the Czechs, he had 19:48, which was 3rd for defensemen. Lassksonen had 22:44 against Switzerland, the most on the team. Against Canada, he had 21:58, which was 4th on the team (Jokiharju/Vaakanainen had over 29 minutes.) Tonight's game: https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2019/wm20/gamecenter/playbyplay/4175/31-w27-vs-w28 (Edit: because I didn't read the whole question.)
  5. It's safe to assume that most teams trading up are, to at least some degree, emphasizing need over BPA. They want specific players for specific positions. As such, they tend to overpay on a value-basis.
  6. No doubt. I was always a *good* artist; the kind who was usually the second best in my class. People with a true gift for it, though, are beyond humbling.
  7. Was it me or did it look like his teammate was trying to tee up Josh's head for Kiko to destroy?
  8. Changed to a 95-point playoff pace. Should be clear just how important these games against Boston are.
  9. Couldn't do any worse. Oh, wait ...
  10. Speaking of the Islanders ... somehow forgot them (well, their logo, anyway.) They're on today's EC chart. I'm seriously thinking about letting the Lightning just go off of the page.
  11. Thanks for the support. One thing that I did notice is that we have waaaaaay too many teams with red or blue primary colors in the East.
  12. Been a while since they made me care enough, but seems like a good time to bring these back. Historical: Eastern Conference: Atlantic Division: (Note: "Playoffs" is a somewhat arbitrary 95-point pace.) Updated: 3/23/2019
  13. The wheels on the bus go round 'n' round, round 'n' round, round 'n' ... aw ? ... they fell off.
  14. I remember when these first came out, back when I was in grad school. One time, I was walking from the parking lot to my building and this beautiful coed walking towards smiles and says "hi, how's it going?" (or something like that.) I, of course, smiled back and responded "Great! You?" She looked startled, turned, put her hand on her ear piece and continued her conversation with whomever she was actually talking to. I've hated them since. ?
  15. Had to go to a concert (kid's) and then a party this afternoon. Left the house when it was 2-0 ... then checked my phone after the game. ?
  16. Well, every few decades, you do have a game like this ... ?
  17. Great, long shift ... but we kept the same guys out there. Other teams do it to us and you see the sneak in fresh legs as we get tired.
  18. Yeah, that was great! The second player went go back a Beaulieu and found that he was tied to a rock (Bogo).
  19. This is awesome ... but ... we do have to start winning in regulation eventually, right? 9 in-a-row is impressive, but 3 RW, 3OTW and 3SOW is just ?!
  20. Been a while, but seems like a good time to bring the chart out of mothballs ... (Points net of 93-point playoffs-ish pace.)
  21. Go to store ... buy coffee ice cream ... put two scoops in a cup ... microwave for 2 minutes ... drink. Not literally, but that's pretty much the end result. ?
  22. If his post-game comments here were any indication, he probably thinks it's all his fault, making the cloud ever darker. ?
  23. No need for everyone to whip out their fanhood and compare; we all know whose is the biggest. ?
