Athletic fan poll: front-office confidence rankings
Taro T replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
No, the survey was apparently 1-5. 1 - 5 goes F, D, C, B, A. At least when non-English majors are setting up the scale. This one was clearly set up by English majors or some other mathphobes. In some categories a C- was a 3.0 and in others a C was a 2.8. In one, a B- is a 3.2 and a C+ is a 3.5. If the rules to Calvinball could be converted to math, we're witnessing it. 😉 And they didn't "receive the lowest grade possible on this scale." That apparently would've been a 1.0. They received a 2.0. Which was the lowest grade of the 32 rated team front offices, but it was not the lowest grade possible on the scale. -
Proposed rule changes should be suggested ASAP.

Nope, not gonna hang my hat on any single player to improve the overall team. If we had landed a bonafide star in the off-season, that person would probably have gotten my vote.

Still the least experienced group in the league, regardless of age.

The survey was basically 1-4, that's how they get a D. This nonsense about passing isn't tethered to anything. It's not a school grade. Y'all have lost your minds. They literally received the lowest grade possible on this scale... how tf is that "inflation"? -
I have two drafts to run. This one and Two Bills Drive. I’m on travel September 2 through the fourth, but I think I should be able to do the third from my hotel room. 90 seconds per pick is fine, but people who don’t show and don’t set their picks to auto draft will face punishment.
-
And again, had they simply replaced the coaching staff (or significant parts of it) would be very bullish on the team's chances to have turned the corner. But they've played such a fundamentally flawed game the past 2 years when they theoretically were going to play NHL defense, just have a hard time believing the improved maturity will overcome the rest of what they're dealing with.

Figured that probably was the case, but didn't think of that until after having hit the post button and didn't feel like editing it. Cool.

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-suggests-hes-war-hero-mark-levin-2116010 President Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that he's a war hero, telling conservative radio show host Mark Levin that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is one and adding, "I guess I am, too." Trump is now calling himself a war hero. How long before he starts saying "If I was around in WW2 time there would have been no war." Or next step is him calling himself a god...

Sept 3rd works for me. Also, I propose 90 seconds per pick. We did 60 last year and the draft was less than an hour…I didn’t even finish my first drink by the end of it. Just a thought.

Is that a report card from reform school ? LOL -
I hope this matters: the 23/24 Sabres had 7 players in their first 3 seasons (Quinn, Peterka, Power, Samuelsson, Luukkonen, Krebs, Benson) and 5 players in their prime (Tuch (27), Greenway (26), Clifton (28), Girgensons (29), Thompson (25)) getting regular minutes The 25/26 Sabres have 3 players in their first 3 seasons (Benson, Doan, Kulich) and 8 players in their prime (Tuch (29), Greenway (28), Dahlin (25), Thompson (27), Norris (26), Luukkonen (26), Samuelsson (25), McLeod (25)) expected to get regular minutes. (Kesslering at 25 and in his 3rd year could be classified either way)* The average age is still too low, but the maturity of the key players should be improved.

Athletic fan poll: front-office confidence rankings

As @JohnC said, the grades themselves were inflated. There was/is a very strong argment that they should've received failing grades, not the lowest possible grade they could get and still pass. -
I don’t have anything in mind yet. Need to get confirmation and the last three spots.

They deserved Fs instead of Ds in the individual categories. The grades were higher than I would have given. -

They'd better have a good (relatively) draft grade. They've drafted in the top ten in 11 of the previous 13 seasons. -

He can play wing or center in the NHL. The guy has proven he can score goals playing with Tuch, Skinner, Benson, Peterka, Kulich. He c will make the team if healthy and scoring. -

How? They are 32nd in every category the fans of the team voted on except drafting.
