In the article ICE claims that the mothers made the decision to take their children with them, for whatever that's worth. One mother wrote a note saying so, she says it was written under duress. ICE also claimed the ensured Honduras could meet the medical needs of the cancer patient. It will be interesting to see how the lawsuit plays out.

Calling them "riots" is dishonest. Trump will call any protest he dislikes a "riot" and Fox News will scream "RIOT!" into the airwaves nonstop until Maga believes that LA is a post-apocalyptic hellscape. When a president starts using terms like "liberating" in reference to US cities, he's a fascist and a racist. We are sprinting towards full on dictatorship. That deserves to be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest. But in no way does that justify using the military and federal agents as municipal law enforcement. And anyone supporting it needs to understand why. History makes it crystal clear.

It's generally the case that the broadcasters are employees of the team. That's not just the NHL, it's most of the team sports in North America. I think the NFL is the exception for television broadcasts but they still employ the radio broadcast employees.

People like to scream MAGA!!!! Trump has his base, but it's not big enough to swing the election. On November 5th did every swing state not have more registered democrats than Republicans? Enough of them either voted for Trump or didn't care enough to vote at all, that's the uncomfortable truth.
