Exactly they need some one with credibility that takes sime of the stench off this brand

Per the bold, that’s another damn good point as it is indeed another possession by the Eagles and the 4th possession in OT. I’d be surprised if the league has thought this thru as well. What would Taylor Swift decide?

I like 90% of your plan. The only thing missing on the 'out' column is Quinn. Power I can still have SOME hope he can develop. Quinn, to me that experiment is DONE.

1.) Trade UPL for the best offer. If someone is stupid and gives you a 2nd take it. Middle round pick? Take it. A practically useless 6 rounder? Take it. 2.) Play Lyon and Ellis, if one gets hot, play the heck out of them. If they both are bad and its apparent nothing is coming from them, bring up Levi and give him 6 or 7 in a row.

You are focused on a tree. The Buffalo Sabres have to cut 14% of the goals against the are giving up. That's the issue, they score at a rate similar to HALF of the playoff teams and have goals scored against them at NO rate near a playoff team. Peterka being gone doesn't unbalance anything because of how wings are run. The line balance and scoring is not the problem, this team has to go from 290 goals against to 250. The lines being balanced with or without JJ or another LW is not the issue here. This team gives up too many goals against, period.

I'd fire both on the same day. Give Jarmo an interim tag, and see if he can get torts to come here. I don't particularly want torts, but i also don't want any of the assistants to be promoted. Trade out - Tuch, Byram, UPL, Greenway Minors - Ellis, u can trade him too TBH In - Östlund, Rosen, Levi It won't save the season, but i don't want adams trying to make anymore trades to improve this dumpster. Get the short term money out, maximize your tuch return, and fire UPL into the sun. I don't think it requires a tear down to the studs philosophy, but i'd probably let whoever is hired decide and I could probably go either way.

You have to give Levi a shot at some point? He can't be any worse. They've drafted a goalie each of the last 3 drafts, but none are remotely close to being ready yet.

If I felt any emotion at all for this team currently, this would be highly depressing. -
They need outsiders right now. Outside GM and outside HC bringing in an outside staff. Jarmo is slightly tainted, but lets face it, if he wasn't already with Buffalo he would be on a list of possible GMs.

I would say this... we are 2nd last in the league at GA and lower half in goals for... I also think one is a function of the other... constantly down trying to score playing less defense, giving up empty net goals... and getting a few goals for because we threw away defense... to me both sides are not good enough, the entire team doesnt play the right way, and if you ask me what our biggest problem is, its neither... its the softest, most uninspired, lazy, stupid playmaking defensman I have ever seen assembled (save Dahlin)

Surely no other professional sports owner would ever let something like this go on for as long as this has gone on unless it was to prevent some sort of major personal embarrassment by keeping Adams employed. The only explanation that makes any sense to me as to why Pegula won’t fire Adams is that Pegula himself has been calling all the shots when it comes to trades and draft picks, and KA is just a benevolent false front for the GM job. -

I know this is a joke, but I think this is the only way they could possibly win. Dilute the suckness. -
I know our goaltending sucks but keep this in mind except for last night we would have had to hold our opposition to 2 goals or less in any game we lost in regulation. I don't think we could improve the goaltending enough to overcome most of these games where we are not scoring 4 goals. Yes I do think we need a left winger that can score goals. I was not against the Peterka trade but with Doan coming back on the right side we lost the scoring balance that is needed to have effective lines. It's hurting us. Sabres scoring in loses breakdown. zero goals 3 one goal 4 two goals 5 three goals 5 4 goals 1 (last night)

There really is no reason to win from here on out. It's not tanking, they are just plain bad. Zero chance they can get a 9 or 10 game win streak, so you might as well embrace the losses. Pick in the top 3 most likely, trade Tage, trade dahlin, trade tuch, and start from scratch. Get the new GM and have a brand new identity from top to bottom. These players will all want out, if they already have not made ultimatums already. It's the right thing to do and there is one thing we already know...it CAN'T be any worse than it is right now. We as fans have to accept defeat, and so does Pegula. The flame has been extinguished, and only a complete overhaul will be able to get energy back into that building. It's gonna suck, but there are no other answers...

lol - i've evolved (changed?), i swear. i almost never intentionally listen to the band's music anymore. i still love it, though. but i love it like a memory. further proof that i've grown: when PROG GOD peter gabriel came to town several years ago, i skipped the show.

Dude I wasnt referring to you... and I wasnt referring to specifically Granato... there is always nostalgia and speculation about the past... I was simply stating that under Adams the coaches that we have brought on board have been less than accomplished to the point that they are no longer coaching... Now if you are asking me which of the four I would chose to be our head coach and I needed to pick from 1 of the 4 I would pick Granato... Ruff just doesnt have them and probably cant communicate with them.... Kruger was a farce, Housley lost them when he railed them about getting to the "dirty places on the ice" as he hid under the bench his whole career trying to avoid them... Granato at least seemed to have their attention...
