  1. Past hour
  2. I guess in the flurry of all the trade rumors and the watching of the finals. Are we maybe looking at the roster totally wrong? All of these ex sabres are doing well on other teams (sure, the rosters are likely better) but this sabres team has been so bad for so long that we are stocked with actual talent. The constant is the coaching has been, trash. After Bylsma, we went down a rabbit hole of first timers and hogwash, Rolston, Krueger, Housley, Granato. Perhaps a couple of them had some ok ideas, but it clearly never translated to the team. We never had a DeBoer, Gallant, Berube, Maurice to get the most out of our players.... Don't even get me started on the assistant coaching staff 🤢 Could a premier coach come in and get more out of this group? I guess that's a difficult question to answer but it appears the Sabres are unable to still play team defense, take very dumb mistimed penalties and seem to not have a lot of accountability for their poor play. Don't even bring up the not having each others back portion of it. The PP/PK has been bad for years now, we can't win a face off in a close game, etc etc. I suppose, do we think if we got a top 5 coach this year (including new staff) with minimal changes otherwise to the roster, could that be enough to make it? This is less about KA, who has been a joke of a "Manager" and more about the bench boss and team interaction.
  3. What about Kulich, 9oa, Quinn, and Ɩstlund?
  4. Today
  5. Watching the cup Finals first game in a small market took me back to some brief moments like that as a Sabres fan. My kids are in there 20's and could care less about how far away we are, but I'm just sad about my broken franchise.
  6. What a coincidence. It’s also the last year the Sabres made the playoffs.
  7. I'm sorry but again, we do have some playoff vets on our team. It's not feasible to make this team brimming with playoff experience and rarely do first time playoff groups have half-plus their roster as playoff vets.
  8. What? Aaaand I just got it šŸ˜‚
  9. People hate clowns...especially when they're chilling in sewers.
  10. Trying to grow an IT focused FB page. A little harder than I thought it would be.
  11. Which Rockies? The Hardy Astrom backstopped boys in all primary colors led by Grapes or the nearly MLB team of the same name (and roughly the same caliber of play)?
  12. He was just trying to let his owner know that he'd left half the meal (and thought he could share it with the one of them that was on the job) and more importantly he'd left a lousy tip. Service dogs are nothing if not conscientious to fellow servers. šŸ˜‰
  13. One last complaint for the day. People with ā€œfakeā€ service dogs SUCK. You ruin things for people with legit service dogs. Was out for breakfast today, and guy with alleged service dog gets up to leave and dog starts barking like crazy. 😔
  14. Pegula has ruined my hockey fandom. Haven’t watched much of the playoffs, and don’t really care about watching the finals. Thanks you f’ing buffoon.
  15. Can we come up with some catchy slogan to put the A back in Byram?
  16. The Colorado Rockies would like a word.
  17. I'm not talking about Byrum. I'm talking about what a real offer would look like. Peterka, 9oa, and a prospect. Do you think that's too much for Robertson.
  18. Sturm hired in Boston. The mantra seems to be they plan on being very defense first in terms of team identity. (They may have to be with their lack of offense outside of Pasternak).
  19. No. Big no. At this time we do not have any of the leadership or experience required for the playoffs. They would be so far over their heads so fast they'd exit faster than the Leafs did when they first got back in. Look at Ottawa. They even had some playoff experience on the roster and they showed they were way out of their depths. You are dreaming if you think they will do well. Unless they add veteran leaders of course. But they have not shown any desire to do that so far.
  20. Of course not. I said that if it was the deal, one for one, I would pounce on it. And what I also said is that if Byrum was thrown in the deal I would with no hesitation walk away.

  22. As Napoleon once said "never interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake"
  23. You truly believe JJ Peterka for Jason Robertson straight up, is a reasonable trade offer?
  24. I have no problem being laughed off. I would hang up and move on.
  25. And Dallas would laugh you off the phone for your offer here, which is why I'm not going to refer to it 25 times because ik you know that not a full deal.
  26. Focus. Peterka, 9oa, prospect
  27. In a previous post you were willing to throw in Byrum into the deal. That would bring me to an absolute no because I would prefer using him in another deal.
