Power/Bryson pairing is just asking for them to get caved in. These are the 2 softest D on the team, together. It’s bad enough Bryson is still on the team, now he is second pairing. C’mon Lindy, give RyJo a chance.

That seems to be the calling card of this kind of Facebook content. The stories being reported are totally plausible (there were several involving Josh going to see sick kids in the hospital -- there was also one about how Josh was going to refuse to wear his "gold letter" from the NFL because his MVP award was a team award, not an individual award). But they're false.

While this post is completely false; the idea is far from outrageous. Mahomes owns a part of the KC Royals so Allen purchasing a portion of the Sabres as a way to also later get access to the Bills as well would make sense.

Then why wouldn't Ryan Johnson play with Power? He's shown to be better than Bryson is every preseason game.

This makes sense to me.

I’m a wee bit surprised about the continued interest into this team as my fandom is slowly leaving my body. I just can’t keep giving to something with no payoff at all. I’ve poured 20 years of emotion into this team and only have misery, frustration and heartbreak to show for it. I’m not subscribing to any streaming service that carries the games this season. I’m done wasting my time and energy. I imagine I’ll post here a little while longer but I just can’t keep pouring my emotions into an infinite black hole.

The only positive take I can get here is maybe they think Kesserling wont be out long and that's why its Bryson playing, they want to keep all the other D pairs the same cause Kess maybe can play on the weekend? I don't know if that's the case but that's me hoping

If Leone gets the Amerks deep in the playoffs again (entirely possible given the roster), he could get looks for other NHL bench positions next season -- or another AHL head coaching job where the heir-apparent in Appert isn't presumably identified. But, if Ruff retires (I expect) and Appert becomes HC (ditto), then Leone could be the Sabres head coach in a season or two anyway.

For myself, I'm much less worried about Geertsen being in the lineup here and there for feigned toughness (Ruff only dressed him for 25 games [and 5 fights] four seasons ago) than I am that somehow Johnson hasn't displaced Bryson in the lineup. The ol' eye test, the draft pedigree (and solid defensive career at Minnesota and Rochester), the size/weight, and that Power needs a defense-first partner.... It doesn't add up. Complete speculation: maybe he's just one of those guys who is just not impressive in practice/meetings, but get him in a game and he gives you low-event hockey, which is perfect for a 7D.

I think about that all the time. And Tom Brady called out the referees for all the calls against Buffalo Sunday night and on and on. Like Porous said, the scary thing is all the really crazy stuff they believe.
