  1. Past hour
  2. I’ve said it a million times and they obviously agree,( in fact I’ve seen a definitive shift in how they’ve been operating in the last year or so, increasingly so, where they their thinking is starting to get well closer to mine, finally.) it’s a BPA offseason. We can, and should if possible, add everywhere the wish list says two top 6 forwards cause it should. It should read: 2 Top 6 forwards 2 bottom 6 forwards 2 top 4 D 2 goalies 2 bourbon 2 scotch 2 beer seriously tho. Ditch the guys WE don’t want to be here. The scent of desperation has never in the history of time been attractive
  3. A lot of those above names aren't all that great for me for Peterka. You don't have to trade Peterka, he's restricted. So, if you are going to trade him I am looking for 3 things with a player in return: -Makes the Sabres better right now than Peterka does (due to talent and/or fit) -Cheaper than Peterka -Makes the team better than Peterka in 2-3 years from now (talent and/or fit) You aren't getting all 3 of those, another team would be foolish to make that trade. But I want 2 of the 3 (pick whatever 2 you want). If you aren't getting 2 of those 3 things, they don't move him.
  4. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/lacrosse/2025/06/23/rochester-knighthawks-looking-for-new-owners-after-pegula-divest/84319445007/ More info here, but soft paywall. This coincides with the Pegula’s giving up control of the arena, so it makes sense for them. I can confirm the Pegula’s made their intentions known with the NLL a long time before today. “I can confirm there are local entities that have interest in keeping the team in Rochester,” Guelli said. “That’s the goal…The league is basically taking over those conversations, with the goal of getting someone in place before next season starts. They’re pretty bullish that they can get somebody in here and take over.” Personally, I think this franchise is cooked, unfortunately. They may play in ROC for one more year, but the love for this team left when the Hawks relocated the first time. It was never the same after that.
  5. I‘m not the board, though. we can’t trade futures to get it done? And trade the guys we need to for futures, to make room?
  6. This is how we know you are truly back.
  7. I'm sitting with Josh Byrne's sister-in-law right now. She's a little concerned about what this means for Josh's brother Taylor.
  8. I’m not surprised by decision but giving a one week notice seems like a bit of a pressure move.
  9. I expect (or at least hope) the next CBA will severely restrict NMCs, but until then, I agree with your last two sentences. However, Philly can't possibly have a great rep either. The Flyers have been scraping the barrel for coaches and haven't made the playoffs for years now. And a cushy condo downtown there costs what, 2.5x what it costs in Buffalo?
  10. https://puckgm.puckpedia.com/rosters/700891 The general crux of the idea is that Guerin wants to get younger and sees Muel as a potential fixer-upper.
  11. They have been trying to sell the team for awhile now; owning 2 teams in the same league is a tad odd to say the least.
  12. A city that is not on every players no-trade clause. Expect the same for any player looking to get traded. Buffalo will only be able to get free agents by overpaying by a ton. The reputation here is so beyond awful that I really think this team will never recover. Drafting is there only chance from here on out.
  13. I think he’s a wanna be insider just doing exactly as you say. Cobbling together the internet garbage rumor mill (so a lot of BS) into one happy place.
  14. Not sure either but I’ll go to my grave with dabbing is not dancing. It’s simulating weed or cannabis oil/resin ingestion and the abhorrent coughing that takes place from ingesting such a substance. I mean you are putting your face into the crook of your elbow, just like everyone does…wait for it…when they cough. Reminds me of when Dave Chapelle informed all white people what skeet was as everyone was singing the lyrics to “Low”.
  15. Thank you, because I can't log in to The A right now for some reason and wanted the substance of Fairburn's ideas.
  16. Oh, that's kind. But I've been back since winter, which ended in late May this year.
  17. Cernak? You mean the 2nd we gave up (along with McNabb and a second 2nd) for Hudson Fasching?
  18. Really curious about the relative quiet on the Byram front in terms of the team and the return. Everybody expects him gone, none of the Insiders have leaked anything on the where or the for who. Im still expecting a Reinhart-sequel return: 2 pieces roughly worth a late 1st+ an early 2nd in total value: That’s what the Sabres gave up for Montour who had a similar game at a similar career point. Montour also had a lesser pedigree and had achieved less in the NHL; so in theory Byram should return more. But we’ve learned around here to temper our expectations. Who is Mike Bundt and does he have sources beyond regurgitating the rumours we’ve all read around the internet?
  19. This is Matt Moulson with a little more talent. The Sabres should be trying to extend him, but if they don't take a big jump this coming season, they should be looking to trade him sooner rather than later. Hopefully he can stay healthy and keep producing even if the team is bad.
  20. Amazing no mention of top 4 defense first blueliner, nor upgrade to goaltending. 😱
  21. i asked the gif generator for a Sabres celebration. that was the best option i saw (other than the one of benson banging the door by the bench (and i'd already used that one in recent memory)). ... i was celebrating what, to me, was your return to the board.
  22. Today
  23. I struggle to see a world where the Sabres can add 2 top 6 forwards and not trade multiple pieces this board does not want them to trade. They have neither the roster space, nor the cap space. Also, where do the UPL, Byram, Clifton and Muel upgrades come in?
  24. I don't like those numbers and I think at the end of the deal the contract will look bad but I probably would still do it. He certainly is not a bad player and he's more complete than Skinner, you just have to look at the possibility of buying the deal out in the last 2 years or so. If that's what it takes to keep him here, it's probably a yes for me.
  25. Based on the market across the league, Tuch today, at his age, is a $7M-$9M player. If he was 36 today, he wouldn't be worth that, but with inflation, the cap going up, etc., by the time he's 36, if he's making $7M-$9M then, it will be market for a player his age. 29 year-olds of his caliber will be making much more than that in 6-7 years. So get him signed today. He's a key player on the roster. He has size, speed, scoring touch, and is a great penalty killer. He's also a leader and a great locker room guy. He's not a fighter, but he'll drop the gloves on occasion to defend himself or a teammate. He even has playoff experience. He definitely was a guy who "wants to be in Buffalo," so let's hope that last season's failures didn't change that.
  26. And 6MM in cap space. I also would have passed on this. Zegras is a fun concept…but has been both injured and ineffective the last two years.
