  1. Past hour
  2. Amerks are offering a big discount of opening night tickets. $17 I think.
  3. I just don't want him that badly. And they are not trading him for Krebs from my perspective.
  4. Sometimes I feel like people just want a swing.
  5. I'll agree with you on this Benson take.
  6. Absolutely not! There's a big difference between taking a big swing and a dumb swing. There has to be a general balance in value between what you give up and what you give back. I'm sure that Byram was dangled on the market. Apparently, the return was inadequate. So he was signed on a short-term deal. That was the right course of action, at least as I see it. It was known that JJP wanted out. So he was dealt. In my opinion, the return for him was reasonable.
  7. First let me ask how bad do you want him! And if you add him, where does he play and who does he knock off the roster? Ideally you offer that Sabre plus a pick or a non-A level prospect. Does Chinakhov replace Krebs? Offer Krebs. But you are not getting anything for a low prospect and a 2nd.
  8. What would you give up for him?
  9. And you blame Adams for not being able to make a deal. 😂😂
  10. The Cheeto in Chief is clueless about the economy. Just a matter of time until his billionaire puppet masters reign him in like they did with the meat processing plants. https://www.epi.org/publication/trumps-deportation-agenda-will-destroy-millions-of-jobs-both-immigrants-and-u-s-born-workers-would-suffer-job-losses-particularly-in-construction-and-child-care/
  11. I'm not advocating for Benson. I agree he's worth keeping. But would you trade Quinn? That seems like a fair exchange. One often injured player with potential for another? But someone gets moved if we add a forward. Naw. Buffalo would feel like home to them.
  12. He very well might do this once he finds outs he’s being traded to the Sabres.
  13. I was just asking if he could play C - the lineup would, if he could if you actually read my tweet you’d see it was more so a thought experiment - I find my perception almost changes when I can identify a solid 1C It was absolutely not rhetorical
  14. “Worst of the worst” my a$$. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-administration-ice-data-shows-less-than-1-of-deportees-had-murder-convictions/
  15. In our opinion, yes. What is Columbus' take? Who was the name floated around from the Blues in exchange for Byram? Jake Neighbors? Blues fans said he's untouchable. To us, we rather take Kyrou and/or Holloway. We might settle for Neighbors. 😂 All in the eye of the beholder. Aren't we always saying Adams needs to make a big swing, overpay to make something happen?
  16. Have no problem with the guy having a full recovery from cancer. Do wish him well. But can we wish his improved play to begin the day AFTER the Loafs trade him away for pennies on the $?
  17. Is this Samuelsson, Norris, and Greenway coming up with a plan?
  18. On the offhand chance the question wasn't rhetorical, you obviously take McDavid. Because as long as the others are in any way positives you necessarily end up with more value.
  19. Dayum. That's the usual Christmas present for relatives that we don't really see often enough to know what they'd really like. Might have to start going with the old standby of cash. It's always the right color but they usually aren't thrilled with the size.
  20. But the show the character started out on was one of the best ever.
  21. IMHO he has leverage with Columbus. He can go to the KHL otherwise.
  22. A clip from a 1980 primary debate. I remember watching this as a newly minted 21 year old.
  23. Can I have all 23 on the ice at the same time?
  24. Cancer sucks. Joshua lost quite a bit of speed following his return from testicular cancer surgery. Hopefully for him, he returns to form now that he will have sufficient time to recover and a proper offseason. But, if his performance last year is his new floor…then it is a very bad contract. The Canucks are trying to free up cap space to spend on the center spine. This was a logical contract to move for them.
  25. Maybe the fact that he was a 14-point forward (57 GP) last season has something to do with it. EDIT: 78 points in 241 GP. Not setting the world on fire.
  26. A 4th? A freaking meaningless 4th? 1) wtf are the Canucks smoking lately? and 2) could Kevy not have offered more? Is it really 12 team no trade bs again? Terry's really f'd this up.
