  2. The Hardman slot in the game day roster is probably open.
  3. Does that even qualify as slight, one single goal?
  4. The very first team on the priority list claimed him. These are the spots where I would love to know how many claims were made. It’s also the time where I’m waiting for the first “you suck Kevyn, why didn’t you claim him”.
  5. UPL for Tyler Tucker from St Louis
  6. Nope.. but it's also why I specifically called out the Bills and Sabres and not "Buffalo sports fans". I realize the Bandits have had success, I just don't consider it as big a deal. It's certainly great for fans of the team and I am sure it's a good thing in the NLL circles but it's not the same. At least not to me.
  7. To me I'm actually not dropping Dunne either. I'd actually move Krebs, or make him 13th guy and go Dunne, Kozak, Malentstyn as the line. I want Greenway off the roster. He is garbage.
  8. I'll still take Doan in the deal for his tenacity. The slight drop in offense (to date) is worth the increase in tenacity. It's an example for the rest of the team.
  9. There are too many bodies. Adams needs to make a 3 or 4 for 1 deal. Time to move UPL most of all.
  10. I'm not sure how confident I feel in Adams having full decision authority any longer. He may still be the GM. Part of me feels like Pegula brought in Jarmo to evaluate the team and organization much like he was using Adams when Botteril was GM. The only different is that it's not really a secret this time and Adams knows it. Kevyn may have limitations on him that we are unaware of. Or.. I could just be hopeful. While Zucker is right, I have no influence on the team so all I have is hope.
  11. Beecher is a former first rounder who underwhelmed. Lost his spot with Minten playing well. Bruins opted for the tougher, heavier guy in Viel for the 4th line. Beecher is a decent face off guy and PK guy but not much else. The Sabres equivalent move would be keeping Dunne and waiving Danforth (if healthy) or maybe Krebs. Calgary probably just wants bodies for their tear down to come.
  12. Am I the only one who disagrees 1000% with this take? Are we looking at stats or actually watching the games? Malenstyn is exactly the kind of fourth-liner we’ve been begging for: blocks shots, kills penalties, plays with energy, hits, and can skate. He’s a lock on my roster, no question.
  13. Could Lindy Ruff eventually force Adams' hand by not playing UPL? In UPL's best season where he got the contract, he wasn't at where Lyon is now. He's almost almost a minus guy on this and it kills the team.
  14. If we are talking about trades. With Kesselring out, the time is now to go get another defenseman. They’ve managed to survive with Bryson, but he’s a band-aid — an emergency option, not someone you want playing every night.
  15. Why? Because you want to be a playoff team and not scrub another season. You also want to assure Levi that there is a future spot up here. There's going to be a bunch of roster issues soon. You have some chemistry and success with what you have so you have to think about changes. Do you really want to send Östlund and Rosen back just because you can? Or do you want to move other bodies and keep them. This is GM do some moves time. Edmonton for example. Is there a deal there? Let them try a low risk run with UPL that still gives them time to find another later if UPL isn't their guy. I'll go wild and say could you get something big out of there like Nurse? UPL, Quinn, Greenway, ? clear the roster spots and bring in a big heavy D. I'm just throwing that out there cause I saw some stuff from Edmonton chat about trading Nurse solving their issues. It's just an illustration of how/why Adams needs to think big and think now. Build on momentum. Don't just sit back and say "see, I am a genius, we just needed time". It's currently a house of cards. Multiple assets for one good asset should be the thinking.
  16. Sabres being a really good PK team is not a mirage...still leading the NHL in PK at 89.7%
  17. He's talked about wanting to play with his brothers in NJ I think Canuck fans are bracing for it
  18. Well damn...Zucker must have done much better than expected because he said earlier Monday that the earliest he would be back would be this weekend.
  19. Why do you assume that Quinn is likely to walk once his contract is up?
  20. Over/Under on Keon playing Thursday? Davis and Shavers deserve to play
  21. Blaming the best player is a Sabres fan tradition
  22. Pretty sure the league will still value Power more than Byram I would certainly be on the phone to Vancouver (since Quinn is likely to walk once his contract is up) to see if there is interest I'd be asking how much they value Tuch as well

  26. Both players were high draft picks with Power as the first in the draft. So I'm not really factoring in their respective draft position. From a player standpoint, I prefer simply Power. In the not-too-distant future, I see him developing into an anchor Sabre defenseman. As have been mentioned by others, right now the Sabres have the luxury of staying the course with both players.
  27. I will be totally honest that I look for things to criticize that Power does. Of course we get the 1st overall pick in a weak draft and he is the consolation prize. He just needs to realize he is a large human that could be physically imposing if he wants. He's just too soft in my opinion (his shot included). I really want him to be a set it and forget it top 4 D for the future. I just like Byram's overall game better. That goal last night is something I don't see Power doing. Byram is just as imperfect, but he gives you more right now. I need this team good now and don't want to worry about who's better 5 years from now
