  1. Past hour
  2. All he needs to learn while in the Sabres Organization are the following phrases: Yes Terry! Absolutely Mr Pegula! What didn’t I think of that Terry? That’s a great idea Mr Pegula, had we used that in Carolina I would have six rings instead of one!
  3. Man, all 3 goal scorers are 1st timers so far. Poppin that playoff cherry
  4. THIS!!! This is the kind of plan that GoFundMe was designed for You would be doing the Lord's work!! The Lord's work, I say ❤️
  5. I was living in South Carolina during that run I ate a LOT of 💩 from the locals during that series. They were barely interested in the sport, and my emotional investment was used against me "Eeen (my first name is Ian), what's ahh-sing?" That low country drawl STILL annoys me 😃 "We're beating you and this is yall yankee's sport" Somehow, the civil war isn't a dead subject among plenty o' Dixieland folk, and some were real annoying about it! Plus, that franchise will ALWAYS be the Whale to me (my FAV logo of ALL the big four sports) Plenty of reasons to loathe that trash can franchise Sh!t Gimme two LINES worth of Wilsons ❤️
  6. Today
  7. It’s hard to be involved in exit interviews when you don’t live there. So did he do them previous years?
  8. If he hires Cam Ward, Im out. 🤣
  9. Just like I've heard talk about an all Canadian final.....a little early for that kind of hyperbole as well
  10. This announcer for the Vegas game is terrible. We Get it. EDM has had some comeback games,… but it's one nothing in the 1st GD period. Settle down.
  11. Victor Olofsson with his first career playoff goal.
  12. Any scouting staff that didn't value Zach Benson, was stupid, is stupid, and shall forever be stupid.
  13. Give me 2 of them on the Sabres.
  14. Another way to look at the situation is what hockey person worth his salt would voluntarily decide to work in a position where you have to report to, check notes, ***** Kevyn Adams.
  15. I’ve read the article. Even posted it on here about a month ago. Here’s the most recent Achilles tears: Duclair, Quinn, Pacioretty. Not an inspiring list. There’s also Kempny, Isac Lundestrom, Knyznov over the past 10 years. Not a common injury. Lastly there’s our own Beck Malestyn, which would argue such an injury doesn’t always have to negatively affect speed.
  16. Figures you'd chosse as your jumping off point a post that's simply venting. Don't really believe Pegula has quit. (And, don't even want him to quit. Just want him to find somebody better than who he's had in charge of my favorite sports team for the past 5 years. THIS team is the only sports related endeavor that his hands are on that is failing. If he finally gets someone good in charge, they could thrive.) Expect we'll know he's quit when he starts actively looking for a buyer. But not expecting that anytime soon (if ever). Noticed you had nothing to add when mentioned (once again) just a day earlier in reference to @darksabre's take that Pegula is sticking to his and Adams plan that "It's what we hear directly from people within the organization - the plan is good, it just takes time." Have literally been told that by several people within the organization. It COULD work, and (provided guys like Dahlin, Tuch, and Thompson don't give up on the team and the city) eventually it WILL work. (Heck, it was essentially a single kneed-in puck away from working the year before last.) But it is truly exhausting watching them put us once again in a situation where a whole lot of things need to go right to get there. Am REALLY forking tired. It simply isn't any fun right now. But am almost certain (much to your chagrin) that will be able to once again have hope come October. And shoot, with a real experienced "hockey guy" as an aid or dare we even say a mentor, maybe the lightbulb will go on for Adams and he turns into a good GM. Not putting any money on it, but it COULD (possibly) happen. Didn't ask for much. Bump Adams into the PoHO role and can a bunch of ACs. (THAT seemed doable. Getting a new GM from elsewhere and Sullivan was pie in the sky; but the ask wasn't very big of an ask at all.) Not getting the 1st. Doubt we see more than 1 or 2 ACs (at most) gone, so not getting the 2nd either. Courtesy of the rumors that they're looking for a seasoned voice to be an advisor to Adams that we're about to see Karmanos and Ventura pack up (figuratively, Karmanos isn't actually GOING anywhere, he'll just change employers). Had hoped for a vet goalie to be brought in, a true top 4 D-man so they actually have 4 of them when all are healthy, and a top 6 vet F brought in and a middle 6 vet brought in; but now we look to be heading into a year that their 2nd 1st OA drafted D-man needs to bounce back from a pretty major injury that they'll likely be trading away a D-man that's closer to his prime than the broken guy, so they need 2 top 4 D not just 1 (and for the 1st month or 2 they'll actually need 3). But, right now, am frustrated. Not giving up. Just tired and frustrated and just wasted way more time replying to a post than should've because still have about 2 more hours of work to get done tonight.
  17. Wilson dictating to Canes. Interesting how much different the playoffs are.
  18. Wilson is a douchebag.
  19. Karmanos was one of Adams first hires. He helped convince Pegula to expand the analytics department which lead to the hiring of Sam Ventura. Karmanos is also in charge of the only successful portion of the organization the Amerks and when the team was looking at a player in a trade he was the principal scout eyeballing the player. Now that will probably fall to Forton and Jeremiah Crowe. The concern for me is the fact the analytics department was a reason why the Sabres drafting has improved. Zach Benson was not on the scouting staff’s radar until the analytics department “pounded the table” for him. Without their influence the team could easily slip back to drafting poorly. Brendan Lemieux, Eric Cornel, Vaclav Karabacek, Jonas Johansson and Brycen Martin were the Sabres five selections in the second and third round in 2014. Tim Murray wanted to use one of the selections on Brayden Point, someone on the Sabres Staff convinced him to take Point off their draft board due to his size. That person is still employed by the team. All the old philosophies that lead to ***** drafting have a strong possibility to return. Hopefully they will promote Sam Ventura to Asst GM and let him take over Rochester in addition to the analytics department.
  20. I believe Adams brought him in himself. That helped to get Ventura as well. As AGM Karmanos serves as the GM for Rochester. If he brought in Leone that is a good sign. No one really knows what the true dynamics are of the Sabres leadership collaboration that Adams says is part of their process.
  21. Karmanos was brought in by Adams and is (or at least has been) the #2 man in the hockey department. His future is entirely speculative, based - I believe entirely - on this paragraph in a Buffalo News story by Lance Lysowski. The Sabres have needed experienced advisers around Adams since he started, and associate general manager Jason Karmanos may not return to the organization in 2025-26, sources told The Buffalo News. He wasn’t involved in exit interviews
  22. An interesting question is will Karmanos remain with the organization and will his role and influence change? I don’t know how much influence he has had in making prior deals or whether it will increase or decrease if he stays with the organization? I would appreciate it if someone can tell me who was most responsible for bringing him in to the organization.
  23. Yesterday
  24. ROR as coffee Barista and driver Ed teacher.
  25. Matthew Barnaby, director of Mother’s Day celebrations and driving with three wheels.
  26. He didn’t phrase it that way. He said something to the effect of “I’ve heard all the chatter too, but when I talked to my Buffalo people as recently as yesterday, they say it will be status quo.” He didn’t clarify how broad that status quo was (By that, I mostly mean Karmanos) but the implication to me was “no special advisor”.
  27. I would have went with POPO, President of Purse Operations
  28. Sabres Tooth really needs some help. Not sure who we could bring in to help him out. Oh yeah, KA that's the ticket. Well actually not sure he's qualified for that position either.
