With speed and enough opportunities, they're going to score more, period.

The funniest thing for me is that Tkachuk is also laughing because he hasn't even had to be himself yet. Marchand the Leaf killer is so in their heads at the moment. They got rats on every line. This could still go either way, but you can see the Florida being Florida is slowly getting to the Leafs and they are going to have trouble staying focused and disciplined.

To everyone clamoring for the Sabres to trade the pick

I haven't seen anything that shows me that he can produce in the NHL. At best he's like Alex Nylander imo. Similar to Fabien Lysell in Boston. Another first round Swedish guy with speed and skill but not able to do it in the NHL. Never say never in terms of development paths but their value isn't very high . -

Yes, that's what I said earlier. Adams can't expect a 1 for 1 deal he needs to package up assets/picks and make some bold moves to improve the actual NHL roster. I just think in general people here over value the assets they don't want (like Rosen) and they want a big return for a guy like Samuelsson with all his exposed weaknesses. Remember people wanted Jokiharju gone and all we got was a 4th round pick . Samuelsson is hard to move unless you eat contract and they won't do that. -
That probably means Pat Kaleta since he’s already here

Whoever the new guy is, someone needs to tell him not to talk during game action, or if they do, have something intelligent to say. That would be a refreshing change.

Staal emptied some baskets today. He's free.

How about Doug Gilmour?

We need to find someone who wants to be here.

If this is true and Rayzor confided in John Scott, who then decided to leak the information, I will be surprised. I like Rayzor for the humor and the on ice stuff, Marty is a far better analyst. Hard to say who I would hire without hearing them on the air and understanding their approach to the job.

Literally he is the only thing about this team that I enjoy.

I'm not sure that is the case???? Not saying you are wrong but I believe that Kulich has much more offensive upside. I like the grittiness of Benson but not confident about his offensive production. Although, I would love to be proven wrong. -
I think it is very true... that the playoff experience is helpful... hopefully some decade whomever is on our team may get some... and for those players it can develop who will take that experience away it will most certainly help... But I do think if the team isnt constructed the right way that experience would lead to not much... I go to the Sabres teams from the mid 80s early 90s that were perenial 1st round exits.. no amount of experience could make those players playoff hockey players.. more often then not the series were not even close... some were... but most they were dominated especially in the clutch... but again to your point... that experience for those that can be playoff players is clutch...

I was actually hoping to see the leafs make it to the conference finals and lose. A different style of losing this time

Now how will I teach my son the intricacies of the English language?

Except Östlund is older and hit the AHL fresh off time in the SHL versus Peterka coming out of the DEL. -
Ehrhoff, isn't he still on the payroll? Put his ass to work.

A thing to think about too is the MANY, MANY,(play off intensity) post season games the sabres and their "core" have missed out on over the years. (Compare to upper level teams like the bruins with their core).the number well over 100. These type of games are absolutely invaluable in developing the grit and mindset needed to make the jumps from bottom feeders, to playoff team to real contenders. 14 years of not even a taste is devastating.

I'll do it.

Rob Ray is the only good thing the Sabres have going for them right now
