  1. Past hour
  2. Really curious as to why they (minus Lyon and 1 or 2 others) collectively looked so terrible out of the gate. Their 1st 3 games, they were REALLY bad. Since that Otter game when they got a few breaks but also made a lot of breaks, they've looked like an NHL team and haven't been out of any games. Yeah, they got Benson back in game 4, but he wasn't good his last game and he wasn't there this last one and they still played well (outside of OT that is 😉 ) in those 2.
  3. 2 things are factual. 1. The Bills have wasted years of prime Allen by not making the necessary moves to get them over the hump. 2. Number 1 above has not changed. So, while there are many points of view on this, people saying fans disappointed in no moves are whiners, you are incorrect. For people clamoring for superstar type deals at the deadline, you are incorrect. With that being said, advantage and victory to those that are disappointed. Allen isn’t Benjamin Button, he’s getting older. Wasted years are wasted opportunities. And the lack of trophies bares this out to be factual.
  4. On a positive note they weren’t out there voting.
  5. Eh, maybe some other team will get into goalie purgatory and will be willing to bring him into their organization on a loan to get him 50% AHL starts and their farm team some W's. Could be win-win for both organizations.
  6. And if it comes down to which teams want it the most, I actually am getting that feeling (for the first time in a while) that the Sabres actually want it.
  7. Milan Lucic is coming to the AHL. The Springfield Thunderbirds announced Tuesday that they have signed the forward, a veteran of 17 NHL seasons, to a professional tryout deal. Lucic, 37, had gone to training camp with the St. Louis Blues, Springfield’s parent club, on a tryout in September. He played four preseason games before an injury sidelined him. This move to Springfield will be his first AHL stint.
  8. He only has 25 other goalies to pass on the depth chart😁
  9. Agreed but at least he's getting needed playing time.
  10. Sabres have so many injuries up front, idk how they win. But maybe there's just enough defense to pull it off. Gotta really be careful with Utahs rush offense, you stop that, you can win.
  11. He's too good for echl
  12. Yeah, after the whistle blows, the PA announcer says, "Hey everybody, look over there, it's JJ Peterka. He's here tonight. Thank you and try the pizza logs."
  13. I don't know. Have the Mammoth played any physical teams yet? The Western looks like the weaker conference. They have two quality wins over Colorado and Winnipeg but 5 wins over sub-.500 teams.
  14. We don't have Jacksonville Icemen thread so I'll just leave this here...
  15. Today
  16. I don't hate Peterka. I always liked him more than Quinn but I hope he gets booed hard and there is a little heat to this game. Hats off to any Sabre who runs him hard. Doubt Sabres can win though. When you compare top lines at the moment they look so much better. Going to need a big game from Lyon.
  17. They were obsessed with replacing someone for the whole Guentzel Necas Rantanen debacles. The guy they might really be missing though is Brent Burns. That old dude keeps chugging along. They are still good but I can't see them being any better than before and likely they don't get out of the division. Florida is interesting because with their injuries a little bad luck and they could miss the playoffs. If they make the playoffs though they could win the cup. If one or two teams in the division get hot they will have trouble though. The door is open for the Sabres (or someone else) to seize the moment but I doubt Adams will do anything to make sure that happens.
  18. 6-2 will do that....wait...
  19. I enjoyed when the NFL trade deadline transactions were nonexistent. Now, every moron on the internet is screaming from their rooftop that the Bills suck, Beane sucks, and the Bills are doomed.
  20. The car detail was probably the breaker. That Delta Sonic OP location is closed.
  21. While things sort of feel like last year, maybe the difference here is sustainability. You just knew the wheels could fall off at anytime last year. That said, we are entering November now and we all know what that means, so my final judgement will be at the half way mark.
  22. So what are the lineup changes tonight ? Come on, I need info ! ( Talking off shoe and slamming on table ..)
  23. Bills hardly had any cap space. Getting a star WR for the minimum and a free car detail wasn't enough.
  24. GMKA working the trade deadline phones for the Bills this year...
  25. All this means it is early in the season and so far there is a lot of parity. To soon to draw conclusions, just win games and avoid losing streaks.
