  1. Past hour
  2. You are right that Kulich is a top two line center in the making. That’s why I wouldn’t deal him. Aren’t you tired of being a farm team for other teams? If he were in an early stage of development, I would be receptive to trading him for a return that was immediate help. But based on what I saw last year he is ready to contribute right now as a second line player.
  3. Peterka is already a top 6 forward with plenty more upside. So why give him up? To see him thrive somewhere else and see his name etched on the SC for another team?
  4. Today
  5. If you get Robertson or E40 than you get the better player. That said who is the other top6 you add? As they might be less than JJP.
  6. Right move with Iran? I personally think so.
  7. Nope, not even close. In fact, I desire the opposite, as would everyone else that visits this site. I'd be really happy to see another couple decades of the Sabres I grew up with. Being a solid team year after year. Always making the playoffs and often getting to the 3rd round or maybe even the cup finals. Sell outs every game and a years long waiting list for season tickets. I suspect we are around the same age and have seen the same things since the 1970's and I know we all want it to be different because it has sucked for the last decade and a half. From my point of view it has really SUCKED for the past 5 years with KA at the helm. I gave him the benefit of the doubt early on, but no more. The last thing I desire to see is more of the mindless chaos that has buried this franchise over the past 15 years.
  8. Not taking any bets on this. Besides Buffalonill still owes me from the last SabreSpace bet I got involved in. What happened to that guy anyhow?
  9. Good questions. Maybe back to waiting for an opportunity and the why could only be that the dysfunction of the Sabres front office is beyond his ability to endure the pain. The question I posed was mostly tongue in cheek, but it seems to have gotten some interest in the very remote possibility. Remote, very remote, possibility.
  10. Quinn for Rossi. Great. Undo the draft. Peterka for Rossi. Bad. Peterka is better. Kulich for Rossi. No. I think Kulich has too much possible upside. Prospects or picks for Rossi, Perfect. Byram for Rossi. Just shoot me now.
  11. You can't say that. Look at Sam Bennett. He did not come into the league as a brawny thug and now he's the dirtiest nastiest player in the league. Peterka is still really young. We forget that in Buffalo because Adams keeps building the all youth brigade. A lot of players change as they mature and develop. Peterka is not a finished project . (I'm not saying he turns into Sam Bennett if you read this wrong, just that Jason Zucker isn't rugged and definitely wasn't rugged when he started out)
  12. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Crazy season for SGA. One of the best individual nba seasons ever belongs to a Canadian
  14. Are 20 year olds allowed to fight a 16 year old?
  15. Fair but kulich can play wing too
  16. If a move of Peterka leads to a top 6 forward or a #2 center, are they really giving up the best player though?
  17. Im not 🤮 at you That quote is deffo, top 5 in KAs "greatest hits" of 🤮🤮🤮 quotes The, palm trees and taxes is his magnum doofus opus quote for certain!!! GD it, I HATE that man 🤮
  18. So a player I’ve been thinking about is Kulich. He’s a center, right? And he’s not really a bottom 6 type of center. If we go and get a 2C then what are we going to do with Kulich? He’s not a 4th line guy. Do we send him back to Rochester? i think he’s possibly going to be a big piece going out in a trade because there’s not really a place for him.
  19. Yes. But the Sabres don't ALWAYS have to be the team giving up the best player. What's the point of having too friggin' many prospects to ever have them all in the lineup if you aren't willing to use some of them as the proverbial sweeteners to actually be the team giving up quantity for quality.
  20. I’m not saying that JJP won’t be a better player than Zucker. But as a player he will never be as rugged a player as Zucher is. Just simply two different styles of play.
  21. You also have to give something to get something.
  22. I would trade Muel for basically anything. What a stupid contract by Adams.
  23. Man, if Mr Sabre, himself wanted out have we achieved "rock bottom" ??? Reality, is a sad sack in Sabreland If THIS is "hockey Heaven" then, Hail Satan, I guess???
  24. Good on you for deflecting said teacher's $hit bullet It's sad that a person, who's job is/was to aide in the molding/shaping of our future citizens, was THAT lacking in situational awareness. Just a shite thing to do to a developing mind, IMO For the sake of clarity, I feel obliged to share that I'm not a 'participation trophy' sort of patent, I'm (mostly) from the "old school" and I'm trying to instill in my son the same traditions, minus the, quick-to-use-corporal punishment, for 'behavioral modifications' 😃 I do remember encounters with faculty like the one you described, and I hope that my kid won't experience anything similar! Faculty seems, generally speaking, rather soft on the kids these days, IMO Incidentally, my boy received an academic performance award in science (5th grade) and the thing has a TYPO in the descriptor!!!! I suck at written composition, so you know it's blatantly obvious if I saw it. 😃 The irony of an educational institution presenting an 'exemplary' award with a mistake that I assume is due to lack of checking for errors is not lost on me. We are in strange times, my friend...
  25. It’s just like the “save money for the RFAs” thing. How did that turn out? the sabres never get to “good problems to have” stage because they don’t create an environment where good scenarios emerge Cart/horse, always don’t build a playoff team, build a cup team ok, you hubristic bastards
  26. There is ALWAYS a spot for another top 6 winger. It might be on the 3rd line, but that is a 1st World problem that would be a very nice problem to have.
  27. If you don’t qualify for the playoffs you get an extra 2 month head start The sabres are the league outlier in terms of performance. If there are any deals being made at all, Sabres should be among them “well what about the rest of the league?” Is one serious lol? Who cares! Are we not in a completely different position to everyone? the “common standards of the league” are so often applied to Buffalo when we KNOW the sabres aren’t the standard. “No one trades a high first.” No one misses the playoffs 14 years. Trade it
