I can’t recall a game last year where I considered him a liability. He’s an effort player who didn’t coast no matter what the situation was. It’s going to be interesting to see if he comes into camp bulkier and stronger.

I love the kid. I think he can and will be an effective top 6 player this year. I think fans who look at his point total and don’t see a top 6 player, are under the false impression that playoff teams have 1st lines of 70+ point players and 2nd lines of 60+ point players, etc., when this is just not the case. If Benson plays the entire year on a line with Thompson or Tuch and gets some PP time, he will get 40 points at minimum and that combined with his defensive acumen and the grit and energy he brings will make him a very good top 6 player. I also think that his skating and, to a lesser degree, his size, do represent legitimate issues and probably cap his ceiling below that of a true 1st line, star calibre player. But, so what?

Like the idea for the poll...but feel like it's missing an option... He's a future strong top 6 player. I still think he needs a little more marinating. 14 goals and 18 assists. He's still a kid.

I’m confident that casual fans don’t care an iota about lease agreements. On the other hand, even casual fans recognize a poorly run franchise. They just need to check the scoreboard and look at the standings. The price and quality of the beer is more of a concern to them. Even they have the awareness to recognize a diluted and bland beverage and product on the ice.

I think it was purposely misrepresented to casual fans as a 10 year agreement to extend the lease on the arena. They called a full county presence and put on a drone show as if the Sabres committed themselves to Buffalo for 10 years. They didn't.

That's not exactly true though is it when you actually look at it. Show me where the democrats tried this? California is one state people are saying but they do it with a committee of 5 Republicans, 5 Democrats, 4 independents. New York is another one but that one can only be decided by the courts. So far the 2 states that Trumps state media touts as doing this have done it in a fair way... Funny they never mentioned the process for those states but that is what Trumps state media does. Now let's look at Texas, they went behind the backs of democrats to take away seats and ensure your vote won't matter for that state. One side is clearly destroying democracy.

I got a new car!!!! Thanks @spndnchz. Also, my insurance agency decided that having my car at an incompetent dealer in Schenectady for a month is not good for their customer (me!). So they agreed to pay to have it hauled to Rochester. One step closer to resolution! This is where we disagree. In my world, both sides have been destroying it. It's just a change in language, squeeze from the left, squeeze from the right, either way you are getting squeezed. See below. Yes.This is it 100%. The electoral college almost made sense back then. It makes no sense now. It's all about creating a representative government where the mix of political affiliations or at least viewpoints can be reasonable represented in government. The electoral college only applies to the presidential election so it's an easy target. But when you get to drawing custom "lines" to fit a narrative then you know it's all *****. Let each state also be represented by its proportionate voting structure. Of course this invites striation into the two party system and the two parties can't have that.

Traded in my car today for something new. Gone is the used car loan and in is a nice 0% for 60 deal and not even on an EV! Love that. I would have posted this in the Fantastic Friday thread but apparently @spndnchz has an early bed time and locked the thread early. 🙂 My 2019 Subaru Forester was... okay. But I never had the love for it. Naturally 6 hours into the new car I can't derive a solid opinion, but I'm not upset. So.. cheers!

When they went to LED for arena lighting I sent an email. Next game it was adjusted. only complaint I would have is the concourse being taken over by beer/soda. No place to chill with friends
