  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, plenty of them according to Twitter
  3. Yes. One broke out with about 10 minutes to go in the 3rd and another broke out in the last minute of the game.
  4. Now those wouldn't be Chet and Muffy's son, daughter in law and grandkids, would they?
  5. When that other guy plays, he is better than Cozens. When that other guy doesn't play, the question becomes is Cozens better than the guy that replaces that other guy? Its not really 'one' guy replacing Norris, as the minutes are split up. You could say Kulich moves up the lineup, and at this point I'd take Kulich over Cozens as he makes far less mistakes. If you go by the theory of the minutes are split, I'd still take 1/3 McLeod (despite him playing awful the first 3 games), 1/3 Kulich, and 1/3 whoever else. That combo doesn't bring that much less offense than Cozens did the last few years, but they still make a ton less mistakes. I don't know if we have short memories or not, but Dylan Cozens in some cases single handedly ruined games for the team with blind passes, turnovers, and mostly being totally out of position allowing goals in close games for the Sabres last year that they lost by 1 or 2. Cozens needed to go, he wasn't going to contribute here. If he turns it around in Ottawa, good for him (by the way, he's not turning it around yet in Ottawa. He's played 30 games there now, 7 goals, 13 assists, and a -10...and 82 game pace of 19 goals, 35 assists and a staggering but famaliar -27.) In other words, he is still who he has been. The real question is, should the Sabres have taken 'futures' for Cozens instead of Norris? A mid-to-late 1st rounder and/or a prospect?
  6. Gallant would not last long working for Terry.
  7. Of all the hockey advisors on the planet, do I think Lindy is the best person for the job? No Out of all the hockey advisors on the planet that I think Terry will actually hire and maybe convince Terry to run a proper NHL franchise, don't think Lindy Ruff is the best person for the job? Yes
  8. As I said before, most things with Pegula after the first year or two of ownership have been about (or a combination of) being a.) Cheap b.) a shortcut c.) about nostalgia d.) about him not hiring anyone that will talk back to him
  9. So what. He can score 25-30 goals on a 3rd line and win, so be it. Did you take the Grandkids to the game today?
  10. Tell us what you would have said in that moment? Moving forward and continuing to work is the only message I want to hear.
  11. Oh come on, PTR, you were one of the same people who couldn't stand the Sabres lineup against Boston when Lucic ran Miller.
  12. And not as a top 6 forward if he's headed for a playoff team however!
  13. Were there "fire Adams" chants this afternoon?
  14. What’s he going to say? The team has checked out. He’s next. Going through the motions. Time to find another franchise that actually competes in the league.
  15. I thought he was fine given the circumstances. Calm and honest. If he had some edginess toward the end of the interview that is to be expected. He is 100% right, they can't keep looking back and talking about the negative. Three games is three games. But you and I both know the Sabres talent is overrated, the team is poorly coached, they do not play as a cohesive unit, and there is no pride in that building.
  16. I did. Tage said it out loud that negativity breeds negativity. I believe he was returning the vibe he was receiving. It isn’t for me to say if that’s correct or incorrect/fair or unfair. But I’m certainly not going to tell our best forward who has scored 50% of the goals this season (lol) to ***** off for it, like the β€œfan” I was quoting.
  17. How the front office and coaching staff actually kept their jobs in the first place is hilarious. I guess since their contracts are all up after this year Terry didn't want to pay more people not to work for him.
  18. Did you listen to the comment? It was nothing but mopey woe is me fodder.
  19. This is only the correct move if Jarmo is moving to Buffalo and is the next GM. If that, then be can backchannel a new coach AND new assistants that aren’t currently employed. Otherwise, you’re promoting from within on an interim basis and that might literally be worse.
  20. Yeah, I want him nowhere near Team USA. Wait until he learns it’s been 45 years since they won.
  21. Not specifically talking about next October; just saying that when you inadvertently tank, which is what this season seems to be headed for (though winning the next 4 games could dramatically change that outlook), you can come out of it extremely quickly. Also, was 100% on board with Adams going away and most if not all the coaching staff as well. So, would've rather they not go through an inadvertent tank, but does it not seem that's where we're heading? (Kind of like when they kept Housley around 1 year too long. And Housley repaid the favor of being dead coach walking by giving Skinner top line minutes down the stretch to get him to 40 goals which resulted in him getting his ridiculous contract.) Personally, would rather they rip the bandaid off now, rather than wait until May to do so. And whatever happens, happens. But do you honestly expect ownership to be on board with that anytime soon (barring something truly horrific like a 1-10-1 October)?
  22. I just don’t want them putting Ellis out there if this team has already quit. He deserves better than that.
  23. Three listless games to start the season including two embarrassing losses at home. 2 total goals, 0% on the PP. -8 differential in just 3 games. Objectively there are only 2 top 6 players on this current roster in Tage and Tuch. There is only 1 defender worth a crap in Dahlin. Adams created this mess, but the coaches can’t get them to even work at all. The coaches and Adams need to go now before this season is done. It’s close to over already.
  24. I agree things feel over. Dahlin may be trying too hard because the rest of the team can't keep up. Still, watching him puke up the puck is hard to forgive. I don't disagree with playing Lyon in three straight. He's been keeping the Sabres in games. But Ellis is going to have to play soon or they will wear Lyon out totally.
  25. I'd kind of agree but I also see the other teams taking them lightly, back up goalies, trap games, teams thinking easy win taking place AND Sabres free and loose so scoring and not defending like they like it. Guys like Quinn might be happy. You never know. I certainly don't hope it happens as I think Appert is garbage, but the fact he's still here makes me think he's Pegula's golden boy chosen one. Myself, I'm putting Jarmo in charge of everything and then I'm hoping he hires Torts to bag skate them into oblivion and then cut ALL the crap out and then start from scratch. I see no other viable idea.
