  1. Past hour
  2. Stingers aren't fun. Usually in football you'll see it where the player gets hit on the side of the helmet or has their head down making a tackle and the whole pile is moving into them. Then, they get up, go to the sideline and you'll see the trainers pushing down/in/out on their extended arm to test the feeling/muscle control coming back. A good one -- miss a few plays. A bad one -- miss the rest of the game. Sterling Sharpe's career ended because his stingers kept getting progressively worse (in his final seasons, you can see him wearing two straps buckled to the back of his helmet to keep his head up through tackle contact). The real issue were his vertebrae and the worsening stingers were the symptom.
  3. NHL gave Doan's goal Wednesday to Tuch 2 days after the game. That's really weird
  4. How did Tuchy not know it hit him on the way through? I think I did it once. It's an amazing feeling. 😉
  5. Not sure if this warrants a whole thread, but I didn't see ones for Kesserling or Greenway, just Zucker. Feel free to delete/merge this if that's preferred. I was hoping we'd see Kesserling this weekend, but hopefully he can go Tuesday. Can't say I'm say I'm shocked Greenway has no ETA. Guy is always hurt.
  6. As I near retirement one of my remaining goals in life is to post something before you.😉
  7. Out at the end of last game. There's a whole thread about it. Try to keep up.
  8. Hey hey hey. So a stinger is when one of the nerves (typically in the neck/shoulder) either gets compressed or stretched out, usually it's compression from a hit. When it happens with enough force the muscles controlled by siad nerve kind of quit working correctly. In the neck C4-C7 control most of arm and hand so a stinger could include pain and paralysis (temporarily) anywhere in the arm. Ever fall asleep on your arm and it goes numb and tingly, essentially a stinger is the same thing only more abrupt and more painful. Most players come back from a stinger, but it's the surrounding inflammation from the injury that may keep players out as that I flammation can continue to press the nerve causing issues until resolved.
  9. He has every accessory you can think of so its enough. I wear a tie pin for special occasions only - weddings, funerals, big family parties or events. It was made from pieces of my mothers wedding ring. Each of the sons have one but I seem to be the only one that wears it. I like the vest too but I can't pull that off. Works better for leaner builds. The hat is awesome for fall and winter. There is a hat shop at Niagara on the Lake, I looked for a hat similar to that one when I was there this summer but did not find one.
  10. I have a sneaky suspicion we're gonna see Tage go off this weekend. 7 games in he only has 1 goal and that was a fluky "toss it to the net" that somehow went in. He's been showing flashes so far, and I've been thinking it's only a matter of time before he finds his groove. I predict he scores 2 tonight.
  11. Throw in the Bonnies as well. Little 3 bball was a blast back in the day. Had great players and regularly played ranked teams at the Aud. Great times.
  12. It doesn't work bc there's no universe... none of 1 trillion simulations... where a Maple Leaf message board has Maple Leafs @ Sabores. Back? He never went anywhere. ***** it, can someone get my meds right. Three Vitamin D and ONE blue pill. Effin Gen A aides.
  13. At least one of the 2 breakouts that Ellis saves are in the net if old slow hands UPL is the goalie IMO Depending on his mood, possibly BOTH go in UPL isn't the solution. He's never been the solution. I say it with the upmost confidence, based on prior performance, that he'll NEVER be the solution!!!! He one of the players that drag this team down IMO It's time to see what else is out there...
  14. If you can eventually swap Kesserling in for Metsa, that is a lineup that actually makes me tingle in my loins a little
  15. Good to see Zucker back. He's more than his power play goals and excellent two way play. I think it's important that Östlund has some veteran presence on his line.
  16. The Sabres have a huge opportunity to shut up the visiting leafs fans and give our crowd something to cheer about. Then turn around tomorrow and suck the life out of a Toronto crowd hyped for the World Series. Weekends like this going right is how you win back a fanbase. I’ll be watching with my two year old. Give us something to cheer about, boys! Go Sabres.
  17. Is the tie clip with the vest going too far? Or not enough?
