  1. Past hour
  2. Congrats @Wyldnwoody44 I really wanted to end my playoff drought in this league but rough start.
  3. Derrick. Henry.
  4. Sounds good! I’ll dm you my cell number.
  5. You're a condescending person. You failed repeatedly to use reading comprehension and your analytic comments are ignorant beyond belief. Bye Felicia.
  6. Does the 35+ rule for buyouts still apply? If I remember correctly, the later years of a contract that a player signs when he is 35 or later can be bought out for a fraction of what most other deals would cost.
  7. Today
  8. I think $80 million by 8 years is the minimum we could sign him for. Look at Sam Bennet of Florida. He is no better than Tuch that I can see. Not only did he get 8x8 he got 56 Million of it in a signing bonus with Florida Taxes. That contract will not be allowed in the new CBA. They limit the bonus to 60% of the contract. Then you look at Marchand's contract and wonder how that is going end? His contract is also front loaded. 5.25x6 at 37 years old. It's a mad world.
  9. Yesterday
  10. In your stubbornness you miss the point. That is to look at what has worked and to do that instead of this. Sabres never seem to get it, because Pegula doesn't get it. He's just like you. Look at the analytics, keep drafting talent based on analytics and eventually you have to win. It just doesn't work that way and that's why we will never win until they put a hockey guy who gets it in charge (which Pegula won't). We all should have walked out the door with Pat LaFontaine. He knew. We were stupid.
  11. Depends what you used it for................... I'm not moving any goalposts, I'm just scoring touchdowns as well as field goals. You don't understand hockey culture plain and simple. No point in having that argument with you as you won't get it ever. Winning is infectious and a taste leads to more success. You want to keep striving to draft top 10 as the answer you keep at it, you will be a happy Sabres fan. Coaching is not good, but if you think that's all it'll take you are sadly mistaken.
  12. If you polled players on who they feel the worst coaching staff in the league is the only question is if ours would win in unanimous fashion and not just an overwhelming margin.
  13. You mean the guy whose career is an irrefutable argument that John Tavares should be a first ballot Hall Of Famer??????? Seriously, Pajama Boy made that guy a millionaire.
  14. LET'S ***** GO!!!
  15. They aren’t all merited, but they are all imminently understandable That’s the rub. We had SUCH an opportunity to weaponize our cap space. We effed up - that opportunity is long gone. We didn’t build when it was easier, now Adams will have to do so under a much higher degree difficulty still playing for the same prize, here, but Adams has added 2 extra twirls to his high dive
  16. Right - it’s not that the signing will be bad - we need to and will sign him and I will call it the right deal - it’s just the egregious waste of the asset until now. The compare/contrast looks quite ugly it’s difficult to imagine them maximizing a lesser deal when they couldn’t take advantage of one that was much more advantageous
  17. Ya, the issue is not winning when teams were way more cap strapped and we had the opportunity to take advantage of a great player at 4.5 mil Missed the boat to be sure. Alas Link? Ya like Matt Moulson
  18. I guess for me it doesn’t look like close to enough for a team verging on 15 years missed. I look at it from the perspective of when the season ended, and it’s 3 fringe moves and downgrading the top 6 if someone had said before last season started, that we’d finish with 79 points, miss for Adams’ 5th straight year, and these would be the only changes, including management and coaching, before puck drop next season, I think it would be near 100% “not enough” for a response - we all agreed it would be a blood bath we were all talking about the need for impact additions. We might have made 1 at the cost of losing 1. (Peterka/Kesselring) the perspective really does change and ease up as the months go by. If we put our minds back in the place of the unacceptable disappointment we felt, this looks weak ymmv - - - if we somehow *do* strike gold with Norris, it may change the calculation for me somewhat. But there’s no reason to think the move looks particularly good, from the perspective of now - there’s been no benefit of the doubt earned
  19. Well I appreciate your contributions nonetheless
  20. what about “drill another well”?
  21. Last regular season opener in the former “Rich Stadium” today. I have seen some really great football games there.
  22. All I’m saying is that I would gladly have McDaniel coaching in the AFC east for life.
  23. I think it is amazing how much Montreal’s 24/25 season has in common with the Sabres 22/23 season. The Dobson move is the sort of thing Adams failed to do after the Sabres big jump, but I don’t think Montreal, right now on paper, is better than Buffalo. If they prove me wrong, it will be because Demidov, Slavkovsky and some of their other youngsters take a step Power, Cozens, Quinn and other Sabres youngsters haven’t.
  24. You also need a QB that can contend with Josh... that is a lot to ask. Coaches can only do so much.
