Is Adams done with his "overhaul" of the Sabres 25-26 roster?

Good news, the Buffalo Sabres are no longer the youngest NHL team. They currently sit 31st just one ahead of Montreal. Buffalo is 25.7yrs compared to 25.35yrs. BUT... Buffalo is dead last in the NHL by experience. 5,881 total games played. Next closest is 644 more games played with 6,525 (also Montreal). To help compare this, the Oilers are 8th with 10,991 games played and the Panthers are 3rd with 12,384gp. The Winnipeg Jets are first with 13,020gp. So we are not the youngest but we are least experienced team in the entire NHL. Source: https://www.eliteprospects.com/league/nhl/teams-physical-stats/2025-2026

Don't follow the league. Wifey watches some particularly when Clark is on, so see some of her games. She is playing injured rignt now and isn't dominating like she did before she went on IR. Amazed at how badly she gets hacked by opponents because interest in the league (and the advertising revenue that accompanies it) goes down tremendously when she isn't playing. And if they shorten her career appreciably they'll shorten the window they have to catch on as a sport that people in general care about. Women's soccer had Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach and then Alex Morgan and it's back to being an afterthought for the most part again. They really need to understand just what they have in Clark and they also really need to get her Larry Bird a Magic Johnson to stir up interest because Bird vs Rodman, while an interesting story, wasn't anywhere near as compelling. Bird vs Rodman wouldn't have gotten CBS to stop showing playoff games on tape delay. Bird vs Johnson got them way beyond that.

Why is he even talking about this when we have bigger problems. I mean he is probably trying to keep everyone not thinking about his Disgusting Epstein cover up. This man has failed the Ukraine/Russian war, created terrorists in the form of Iran after destroying the agreement that Obama had in place. China is now looked upon more favorable in countries that used to trust the US. This man has done nothing except deport a few criminals and a ton of innocent people. -

Looking into the future, Pegulas the Wise never saw it coming. It's ironic... he could save money while he and Sheevyn were re-re-re-building their own Death Star..., only for it to be destroyed by their own savings as Tuch Icewalker skated out the door, then R2-D2 and Tagebacca demanded trades that only returned additional futures for a re-re-re-rebuild. -
I think Vanek wishes someone called him ugly Bradley Cooper. This dude does resemble Roysie a bit. He was amazing in Just go With It.

Can you expand on the poor facilities? I get it on the HSCB, itās dark, itās quiet, and itās below par in many ways. But isnāt the Harbor Center and its facilities considered a good asset? - Today

Duuuude. Lay off the peyote for a bit, eh?

Anyone following the WNBA and their pay concerns? It seems as if the players want to get paid on valuation of the franchise vs actual revenue they generate. I know Caitlin Clarke has turned the league on its head. Iāve peeped a few games. It should be written into their CBA what percent of the revenue they are owed. It probably wasnāt a thing as traditionally they werenāt making money. Maybe Caitlin has changed that. Iām all for fair compensation, just not sure what that translates to at this juncture.

Wrastlin is definitely not a sport. It involves athletes but itās a soap opera with people in their underwear. Iāve definitely never understood dudes fascination with it. GLOW had me at the get go but I think those reasons were obvious as I was a primed teenage boy.

It definitely sounds like lusks. British slang or something?

That's why the word 'overhaul' is in quotes in the OP. This isn't an overhaul just more of Adams rearranging the deck chairs. -
To me I think it works something like this.. Ruff and Adams talk to each other frequently when Terry isn't around. But whenever Terry wants to show up... Then everyone has to talk to him and go through him. Ruff May report to Adams, but if Terry gives Lindy a call, then Lindy has to tell Terry everything he wants before Adams hears it.

Iām all about the sanctity of the game for anything off the field/surface/venue. For example, steroids. But if it can be measured/seen and penalized on the field of play ā thatās cool. If you want to cork your bat, have an illegal lacrosse stick, or say āthe ref wonāt call illegal contactā on every passing play⦠then go for it. The key is: if you get caught, donāt complain about it. Take your penalty, or suspension, and come back next time. (With even more cork!)

More importantly (and only being slightly facetious) what would he be able to do with GOOD NHL development coaches assisting Seattle's specialty coaches and how much will he regress / fail to reach his ceiling with the Sabres development coaches "assisting" Seattle's specialty coaches.

Apparently the Claret Jug has been filled with all Kinds of beverages from soda to wine to coffee. I couldnāt find any take on what it was filled with this time.

My post has nothing to do with him as a player though. The team brought in a kid from the junior Sabres who is currently in a wheelchair to announce the pick. When talking to Adams, Bedkowski went out of his way to mention that kid and his story. Heās got character that looks to be miles ahead of what youād expect from a teenager. People are going to love him.

The fact that Mrtka had no skills or skating coach up until he goes to Seattle (who I assume has those) is fascinating because you can see two things. First is how much Mrtka worked out in his own brain. He saw deficiencies and attempted to fix them with what he had available. That's good. Second is the big unknown. What happens when you take a talented kid without all the fancy training and suddenly give him all the fancy training? Will it overwhelm him, is he actually not that far behind, can he incorporate that information, will he suddenly explode in skill because of it? Lots of questions there. This is similar to the bet they made with Jack Quinn who didn't fully commit to hockey until he was in drafted into Jrs. If Mrtka can do all that he can now without specialty coaches, what can he do with them? As far as Mrtka's physical play, I don't worry about it as much because he plays the game with more natural aggression than Owen Power. He demands the pucks more and shuts down plays in a more active way.

That's it. Piqued. I knew it felt wrong.

probably that 1st and 3rd range but you might need to go into the 1st, 2nd, 3rd range. Buffalo could not get into that next range.

I say it occasionally, but it bears repeating: Insight like this is why I come here to understand what's going on with the Sabres. Also, your interest is piqued, not peaked.
