  1. Past hour
  2. As I recall Lindy did not play UPL much at all last year and think he has no faith in him...guess Adams wants to try and justify him giving UPL that crazy contract
  3. Dunne played this past game. Please come back, Greenway.
  4. Yes, that’s when St Louis would be able to send him down… assuming no one else out a claim in on him. Those teams would get a shot at adding him to the NHL roster first. The Sabres won’t do it before then though, especially since we are so close. The line is actually 30 days or 10 games played. I have no idea how those games played are counted for goalies since he’s in a jersey each night (maybe not this past game?).
  5. At this point, Lyon is your starter. Alternate Ellis and UPL as the backup. Let UPL work his way back in, give him a start here and there over the next few weeks, or until Lyon falters. Keep all 3 on the roster for now.
  6. Since this community spans many states and nations no real need to identify where to place a bet because it will be different based on location. As far as betting lines go I just look at the ESPN schedule when I care to see what they are.
  7. What do you have against Dmen with a good +/- ?
  8. How much more actual practice time would he get playing Saturday rather than Tuesday? They presumably have a real practice today. Tomorrow they have a morning game day skate. Wednesday they travel (or do they fly out late Tuesday after the BJ game?). Thursday game day morning skate. Friday - travel (see Wednesday's comment). Saturday game day morning skate. Suppose that could get him more back into the rhythm; but it won't really gain him much practice time. Would much rather they wait a couple of weeks to get him back inbetween the pipes; though that's likely a pipedream.
  9. If Ellis went back to St Louis before the 30 day window would he still have to clear waivers or could he go straight to the AHL?
  10. we are playing well right now. I definitely want Kesserling in when he is healthy. Not so much Greenway. As long as we are playing well up front, we do not need him back until there is injury. Which will happen unfortunately. Forwards are playing hard and physical. Greenway is not physical and does not play hard all the time.
  11. When I check in on the stats, Novikov always seems to lead in +/- the last couple of years.
  12. Why not use Kincaid as a wideout? Yes, he does not have the deep threat speed, but it appears the TE's are getting open.
  13. I can't fault the GM for taking guys who get hurt. Someone's done the big data analysis, haven't they? Someone out there has created a reasonable set of parameters and values, run the numbers, and can show with some objectivity how GM's have performed in the draft and in free agency. I'd guess that Beane grades out in the "good" tier. If 2026 is a strong WR draft, I'd love to see them move up, up to grab someone they really like. (And then pray that they're right.)
  14. Looks like he could be the grandson of Dorothy Hammill -- strong skater, I presume.
  15. I loved this trade from the get go. If Doan can grow and loves to be here, he is going to cement us winning this trade if the centerpiece plays as advertised
  16. He already had multiple chances and the only time he did well was when he had to fight for something. When he was made "the guy", his play fell off a cliff and it looked like he was unprepared, unfocused and was not mentally sharp.
  17. The options of what to do with Ellis will open up a bit in about a week. At that point St Louis or anyone else claiming him would have to put him on the NHL roster. The Sabres will have the 3-headed monster at least until that point.
  18. Today
  19. Firing squad? Concrete Shoes offshore of the Erie Basin Marina late one night? Kidnap him and move him to a safe house where nobody will ever find him? Banish him to Siberia? In all seriousness, dump him for whatever you can get.
  20. The issue is Adams absolutely will get this wrong.
  21. And the centerpiece of the trade hasn’t suited up yet for the Sabres.
  22. That is not how math works. It *could be on the side that one team won the trade. Not has to be. Oh the irony of your user name!
  23. I know it’s only recently where the NFL trade deadline is something that warrants attention but BBB needs to go find himself a stud WR as well as a burner to take the top off the defense. Coleman is just not him. Is he an NFL talent? Probably but he cannot get open against man coverage in against pro DBs. Palmer is a nice complementary player best suited for # 4 WR role. Shakir is great but he can’t be the only WR defenses need to worry about.
  24. Assuming that victim previously made those reports to more appropriate sources, how would the league not know about it already? That wording seems so odd to me.
  25. This is how the DoD looks at metrics: big stacks good, little stacks bad red bad, yellow caution, green meets the spec, blue even better
  26. So what we are seeing is that Doan is driving shots and quality shots more than Peterka but Peterka is getting more goals (he's a better shooter) and they are about the same on the defense in terms of shots. I'd guess Peterka has a better line than Doan, probably because of Doans center being either Kulich, McLeod or Östlund. Zone faceoffs can impact these numbers a bit more early as well. Short version, Peterka and Doan are both doing good things.
  27. You're looking at standard deviations above or below replacement. A replacement level player is an average 3rd liner or there about. You have goals for per 60 min, xgf, cf, xga, and ca all per 60. So a mix of shots and shot quality.
