  2. Power has his flaws but no one on the team can carry the puck up ice on his stick better than he can. Might be one of the best in the NHL at doing that.
  3. If Sabres can't win on the road they're doomed. They're not good enough at home to carry a losing road record.
  4. I think everyone is recognizing what I was seeing last year. He was an NHLer then, just not enough roster spots. I think we're going to see the same thing this year with Rosén and Östlund: Looking like they're ready, just figuring out how and where they fit in. This is what normal depth development looks like.
  5. I got a good laugh out of this thread. You guys picked a great game to see and that is no small feat. Any good follow up stories?
  6. Yeah I can't see him going anywhere...he plays his role very well and it's very much needed.
  7. If he keeps up this level of play through the rest of the season he’ll have the second best contract on the team.
  8. So your saying we are doomed?
  9. I would investigate the $79 fee. I pay around $20/month for the Disney/Hulu/Espn bundle, but as I stated, I loaded a cable account on the APP to access the ESPN, ESPN 2, etc live channels. Google search below, which I assume ESPN unlimited includes the aforementioned channels I access with a cable subscription. 10. His play since signing the contract stunk. Doing nothing last year while Thompson was laying on the ice was inexcusable. He has been a big part of the problem. He’s been kicking ass since game 1 this season. Give me MOAR MUEL!
  11. Getting a road win in Pittsburg would be big! Gotta start winning on the road
  12. Today
  13. ... No one offers sufficient value for UPL, or maybe Lyon. Then they hold until the deadline.
  14. You're injury prone until you aren't. There's too much chatter about teams calling the Sabres. Sometimes going, unless....
  15. Was a good game... Refs in full force... Wow... I know officiating isn't always consistent but jeeeesh that was some badness from the drop. We got our butter dishes so that's good too 😂 Fun time with the meet up, hope we can make it even bigger next season. Got some noise finally going in the morgue that is KBC, fairly full as well. I've been fooled too many times, so let's see where they go from here.
  16. I feel like there is going to be an everyone sits for 3 or so games rotation until at least 1 goalie solidifies a spot, whether that spot is as the 1G or the pressbox.
  17. Don’t know, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Kevyn decided to keep all 3 for the season.
  18. Now is the time LG….. SELL, SELL, SELL 😅 Based on who plays now that all are healthy, Is Lyon the one on the trading block?
  19. The corollary is that it's still relatively early in the season and even an modest win streak can bump up the win % significantly.
  20. Out of all the teams in the wildcard race, only Buffalo and Philadelphia are on winning streaks (both W2). Montreal is the only other team in the race that did not lose their last game. We've got a lot of teams to pass, and none of them are perfect teams. They all have their warts. If the Sabres can work themselves out of this injury hole *and* beat the teams they should beat, playoffs are possible for this team.
  21. I almost took the electricians job there. Glad I didn’t.
  22. This line played its fourth line role very well. It played hard and tight throughout the game. Kosak fits in well on that line. He is solidifying his spot on the team.
  23. Passing the Leafs is good. First step, more hopefully to follow
  24. And to add to your point, if we can get consistently good goaltending, this can be a credible team.
  25. You have to be on something completely different at that price. Even their new streaming service that includes all the espn networks is $30 a month. Do you have the commercial free versions Disney and Hulu bundled in to get that price?
