  1. Past hour
  2. Seems like a no brainer move. But with this organization, you never know.
  3. Watch Boston claim him. They like his compete level. šŸ˜‡
  4. Per Reports
  5. They would if the history were worth claiming. People are people.
  6. Today
  7. I dunno. Probably not unique but there’s a glaring disenfranchisement from the fans even if what one normally hears is lip service. We don’t even get that - ā€œoh this drought has been a black mark on the history of this once admired franchise and the fans deserve to see the playoffs and we are going to give it to them.ā€ think Lovie Smith’s introductory press conference in chicago, ā€œour goal is to beat the packersā€. Leaning into the historic past of the team this group doesn’t just avoid claiming they drought, Adams and the players have quite literally scoffed at it make no mistake, they don’t like the fans and think we are silly for being so hard on them
  8. I don’t think this is unique to Buffalo tho
  9. Yeah, that one was very frustrating. It was ruled a good goal on the ice, and most of the details lead towards that goal typically being upheld. Thompson was outside the crease when he was impacted by the D-man which seemed to be the impetus for him entering the crease. - that usually leads to a goal being considered good. Thompson appeared to make an effort to not contact the goalie after he entered the crease. - seems to not really impact one way or another the decision in TO. The contact was mimimal and the goalie didn't seem to get moved off where he was - that usually leads to a goal being considered to be good. The goalie had time to get squared to the shot before the shot was taken - that usually leads to a goal being considered to be good. Thompson was outside the crease when the shot came - that usually leads to a goal being considered good. And the Calgary coach was so unsure about whether to ask for the review or not, he burned his timeout trying to decide if it was worth it or not. IMHO, the biggest piece of it was whether the D-man was influential to Thompson entering the crease or not AND whether the goalie still had time to be square to the shot by the time it happened. Those are what the overseers in that room in TO tend to lend the most weight to. And both were on the "good goal" side of the ledger.
  10. I’m not sure if the owner even cares. His actions or rather his inactions indicate an apathetic owner. It’s futile to argue where this silent owner’s head is actually at. The indisputable fact is that he presides over a flawed and failed franchise. And this shiiiit has been going on for a generation.
  11. In the year Forton-five forton-five…if Sabes are, still alive.. šŸŽµ
  12. I *might* be able to make it around noon.
  13. Isn’t that Chan Gaileys personal blog?
  14. I tried to read the goalie interference rule last night.
  15. They're talking about it on FortChan. Thorny, back to you.
  16. I think the turning point for me was the stick salute fiasco the ultimate ā€œwe don’t claim the droughtā€ moment (a topic they’ve reiterated multiple times). They’ve always made the fans hyper aware of the difference between the 2 parties. The drought is for the fans to worry about, for the fans to suffer through, waiting for the eventual end. That’s not THIS group, the fans are just angry and are taking it out on this poor regime that’s only missed a mere 5 years straight They don’t claim the history of the crest - I think that’s quite telling. Buffalo Sabres aren’t in their blood. They are paid mercenaries
  17. Yeah.. I'm out. I ultimately decided that taking time to drive to Buffalo, spend money on tickets, etc. is not worth it. I know it's chance to meet up with people, but the misery of this team is too much for that to overcome. Ultimately it boils down to spending money in support of Pegula and I just can't do it.
  18. I'm so glad i turned this game off when they disallowed the first goal. By virtue of the Sabres I am now just getting tired of the NHL as a whole. I'm tired of goalie "interference". It's worst than what constitutes a completed catch in football. Oh well.. more of the same. Time to check out.
  19. I mean, I can't think of a time when I've ever hated this team more. Just an astonishingly unlikable collection of players, coaches, management, etc. ***** em.
  20. Prob cause they’ve missed the playoffs for 95% of the lifetimes of those posting The board isn’t negative or positive, it’s reflective assimilate to the board we are the borg
  21. And if that's the case.. and because of Pegula it all circles back to.. we're doomed as long as Pegula owns the team. Also.. well done!
  22. UnFortonately he’s a lifer
  23. I’d imagine there’s communication to Adams that he cannot save his job by making the playoffs in year 6, therefore to approach the roster as if the long term aim is what matters If he’s as much of a puppet as everyone says, he should have no problem attempting to operate under those parameters. Success rate another issue
  24. Next year is an evaluation year
  25. The playoffs are the theatre of Will. Everyone is talented, the difference is the men from the boys the regular season is a showcase of who’s talent shows up more on a random Wednesday in the dog days of the marathon, cold, regular season The regular season is about your lowest common denominator output, that you can’t help but serve up because you are inherently skilled and apt
