  1. Past hour
  2. Let's not forget Ersson let in three goals last night but had the third overturned. He was beat by Benson moving across the crease. Before that he waves at a puck Byram scores on and let Zucker beat him five-hole on the power play. The rest of the night the Sabres hit him in the crest. We seen to have different standards for goalies depending if they are Sabres or the opponent.
  3. I liken it to watching your kid play youth sports. You follow their every movement and see what you want to see because you want the best for them. Then they go up against “real” competition and you find out how good they really are. And it’s deflating.
  4. Well, not anymore for $290 a piece. ***** ridiculous.
  5. None of them are the solution.
  6. I edited my post to an A- because of the first goal Ersson let in. (Zucker) Ellis had a far more difficult job last night because of the greater number of dangerous chances he had to stop. Proof the NHL has different rules for the Sabres
  7. While you were enjoying the concert, we got to watch our own Psycho Killer! "Qu'est-ce que c'est?" in the Sabres instance is French for WTF?
  8. They’ve so far avoided their annual mid/late November 10+ game losing streak. Which, as I pointed out, has become an annual event.
  9. This team shows over and over they are poorly coached and are the least experienced in the league.
  10. He is not playing very well in Rochester right now. Elevating a slumping goalie is no answer.
  11. @zow2 thinks we have a four headed monster, apparently.
  12. At this point I'd agree. Bring up Levi, mix him in with UPL and maybe you will find lightning in a bottle. I went to that Devils game a week ago, I'd let go of Lyons and keep Ellis. Lyons just looks slow and small in the nets.
  13. Today
  14. I feel like a broken record after these losses but again it comes down to converting chances. Most teams are going to lose only scoring 2 goals. This is another night where pucks that should be in the net are not going in. Doan could of had a hat trick last night but nothing worked out. Tuch, Thompson, Norris all not converting good chances. I don't know why. A lot of wide shots last night. Yes there were other problems, coverage, goaltending, and coaching. This team gets enough good chances that they should be able to outscore those issues on most nights.
  15. Team USA jerseys go on sale in 90 minutes. I try not to be much of a consumer these days, but I’ve wanted an Olympic jersey as long as I can remember. I’ll be getting matching one for me, my dad, and my son as our Christmas presents. Matthew Tkachuk for my son, blank for my dad, McAvoy for me.
  16. Why? What made you think they turned the corner?
  17. Glad I couldnt watch... cancelled paramount... So much for hope meh same old Sabres careening to last place
  18. They went to Timmy Ho's for a double double and some Tim Bits!
  19. Was very hopeful they were turning a corner. very poor performance overall, from everyone. Teams will have games like this, the Jets just had one against us, and ya know what they did? They held a closed door players only meeting where veteran guys like Lowery went off on the roster about its performance, telling them, not asking them mind you, but telling them to hold themselves to a higher accountability. what did the Sabres do after this game? Nothing, that’s what. They accepted that performance as acceptable and moved on to the next. That’s a problem.
  20. I don’t think it’s about jumping on the bandwagon. Speaking for myself, I want to enjoy Sabres hockey so much that I’ll tell myself they are something they’re not at the faintest glimpse of hope. I know I’m lying to myself, but I want to believe.
  21. Puppet master Pegula. Fans of other teams that I talk to all agree almost universally that he is a horrible owner, an idiot, and maybe the worst owner in the league. That's not just Bruins fans either. Flyers hate their Comcast ownership but think Pegula is worse. Canucks, Leafs, others. Everybody. It's not just a local thing.
  22. That used to be the old school indicator. Everybody could win at home, but the good teams, the playoff teams, were the ones who could win on the road. It changed a little because originally the rinks were so different in sizes and quirks the home teams truly had home advantage and now uniformity makes that less special but maybe the old adage still applies to some extent.
  23. Well, if home wins were 4 points and road wins only 1 point, that might get them pretty darn close. They have to have one of the better home records to go with the league worst road record.
  24. Was 100% with you until the last sentence. Adams has already been supplanted. We now need to put our trust in the Sabres' deep-state.
