Take over in what sense?
-
I think Dreger was the one just a few days ago on an inteview in Calgary (brought up buffalo) that said no one would be interested in owning the Sabres with their 'building' being as bad as it is.

Never say never.

That's interesting -
I'd rather see the oldest daughter, Laura, involved. She has some business acumen.
-
I recall reading that Lehner was grateful for the support Botterill showed, even after Lehner was no longer with the Sabres.
-
Yay Rasmus!!!!!!!
-
I’d like to see Jesse Pegula and her husband take over the Sabres. That might be all the change at the top we need
-
Probably but nothing is absolute. Kim’s situation has taken a major toll on him. If he knows how much the fans are fed up with him for the state of the franchise maybe he considers it.
-
As John Wawrow tweeted, the team is never being sold while Terry is alive.

Boasberg to possibly be impeached

Trump was impeached twice and a convicted felon 34 times over. None of this stuff means anything anymore. - Today

Great news all around on Dahlin. Wish I’d known before I picked up Gibson for my fantasy lineup tonight. I foresee a Sabres’ rout. -
Baker & Fairburn pod: The time has come

I’m with you. At full strength, the team looked okay—which is an improvement. But injuries aside, 1 win in the last 10 shows it’s time to move on. Holding onto a long-term GM hoping things will click is like keeping an ex’s number—you know they weren’t great to begin with, but you convince yourself they could be okay if things were different. Most of the time, you’re better off cutting ties and moving forward. -
Personally don't like Lehner either. But don't recall his praising the team for getting him any help back when he missed significant time after injuring his ankle in his very 1st game as a Sabre. Also, don't recall many (any?) good things said about how the team handled / related to players during the Murray era. Do agree that Botterill understood the people/human side of players better than Murray did. Then again, the bottle of iced tea sitting on my table understands the human side of players roughly as well as Murray.

Our leading scorer!? -
That’s interesting because early on in his struggles, Lehner had effusive praise for the team and the help they provided him. It wasn’t until after he left when he criticized the fan base for booing him and threw the organization under the bus for their lack of support. I will just agree to disagree on Lehner as I have nothing good to say about him.

I like my conspiracy theories. 🤐
-
OK. Fair enough. They didn't give him support in a timely manner. They left him isolated from the team when he was injured and needed support. By the time they did provide support he needed a new start in a new location.
-
Yep. But, today is the 1st day of the rest of your (mine, and everybody else's) life. Can't change the road you took to get here, but definitely can control the path you take from here. No reason to keep any of those you mention beyond their contracts and for many of them even before those contracts run out.

Dahlin is taking a leave of absence to return to Sweden
LGR4GM replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Hell of a lot easier than dismissing all end evidence at hand to create some bs conspiracy theory about Dahlin quitting the team to go play for Frolunda. -
I have to disagree about Lehner. The Sabres got him psychiatric help, including treatment for substance abuse to help with his drinking problem and gave him as long as he needed to get well.
