  1. Past hour
  2. This is correct. Why the ***** didn’t Kevyn do the same for the Sabres?
  3. Look to be a PP & defensive improvement over JJ while a little less playmaking although I wonder if JJs linemates inflated his apples.
  4. Oh you Rochester watchers are going to love Kuntar. He's a tempest in a teapot and gets in everybody's face. Bruins fans were wishing he'd become a new s##t disturber for them but he didn't show the skills required for the NHL. He's an AHL guy but the kind of guy Rochester could use big time to go with their skill guys.
  5. While I'm not deep into the details of the Amerks' roster, I believe that their last two playoff exits were to teams that were bigger, stronger, tougher, and older, but perhaps less skilled. Adding some tenacity and muscle doesn't sound like a bad idea. Same applies to the parent club, except that in order to have a "playoff exit" you must first have a "playoff appearance."
  6. worth its own thread for sure. fwiw!
  7. Well, an overall entertaining Amerks squad might just get me out to a few games.
  8. Tischke is a former bottom of the roster D that is more than a willing combatant. Kuntar is obviously former Sabres goalie coach Les Kuntar’s kid. Haven’t seen him play much but his PIMs are rather high.
  9. Kinda seems like Peterka lite but ***** it!
  10. Some Amerks depth signings from today: “Rochester Americans General Manager Jason Karmanos announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Peter Tischke and forward Trevor Kuntar on one-year American Hockey League contracts for the 2025-26 season.” Tischke exclusively played in the east coast league last year. I don’t expect him to make the Amerks roster. Kuntar is a former Jr Sabre and son of former Amerks goalie Les Kuntar. Brings grit and is not afraid of PIMs.
  11. Inky, tell me more about these two.
  12. So, Karmanos gets it. Wonder if he'll ever manage to explain it to his boss.
  13. Personally don't see Samuelsson nor Greenway as being nearly as important as the rest of what you've mentioned. Muel is (or should be) their 5th or 6th defender and Greenway will be middle 6 (likely 3rd line, though Ruff might mix stuff up) the 45 games they'll get from him. Expecting the Quinn we saw down the stretch is closer to what we'll get than the one that was totally lost at the beginning of last year. But it stinks that they haven't added at least 1 more forward to let his staying healthy and contributing being roughly as important as Muel and Greenway will be. (A nice surprise if they do pan out, but completely unexpected and not overly critical in the grand scheme. They need him to look like the guy he was turning into before getting injured twice.)
  14. A real Shot da Puck
  15. What, you weren't at the meetup? So, YOU're the mofo we forgot to invite. Knew there was somebody. 😉 Eh, never happened last year. Hopefully one happens this season. We'll see. Fewer weekend games than usual to choose from this time.
  16. Interesting. Wondered why you chose a character who's supposed to be a Yank played by a Brit; starting to make sense now. Suppose being a Scot is close enough.
  17. I feel like Krebs doesn't shoot often or effective enough to be a tremendously high upside player. But putting some wings on his line that can actually occasionally score might unlike some more goals for him and the team down the lineup.
  18. Today
  19. All this is moot unless the goaltending plays well and guys like Norris, Samuelsson, Quinn and Greenway stay healthy and contribute. It couldn't hurt if Kesselring can move up from a 3rd pairing D to a full time 2nd pairing D who has chemistry with Power, plus Benson and Kulich step up to replace the lost goals from JJP. I'm sure all this happen. I might also win the lottery.
  20. Terrible, I wouldn’t want either of them on my AHL team, maybe echl team. I would rather have better players then these two!
  21. Yer not from around here, are you?
  22. for me - it is far more of a first-world NFL problem. I am actually nervous about the Bills living up to expectations, so watching the games is WAY more gut-wrenching. Back in the days when the Bills were Cheatriots punching bag ... hang out with friends at a Bills bar, eat wings, drink beer, cheer/cry. During the Kelly days - I was still in middle school / high school so I dealt with stress better, lol. I did stay home from school the day after "wide right". But I think half the school did.
  23. If you come down for a game in Raleigh, I won’t be there.
  24. Ok OK, when are the group of scumbag, scoundrels meeting for the infamous SS meet-up. Can't trust none of the lot?! I endorse these harlots See ya there Luv ya boyzzz... And girlzzz
  25. So, just below average? I know we’ve all learned to hate on the guy based at least on eye test. I wonder if deeper stats support just below average? I really hate that I fell hard for this guy based on his rookie season and he seems to have plateaued or even regressed since then.
