He's never in his 20yr career wanted to come to Buffalo but ppl still list his hometown like it ***** matters. A good GM could have got him here. He was a kid when that incident took place. It could have been worked out. Quote
Spoonman Posted Tuesday at 02:55 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:55 AM So probably not making to the end. We suck, I am not feeling well, no nightmares. Positive memory : Me & my transistor radio in bed, (w single off white earpiece) listening to West coast games w RJ’s descriptive PxP & falling off to sleep, to check the newspaper the next day for final when (usually) I didn’t make it through the game. 1 Quote

elijah Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:25 PM Edmonton gets a starting goalie from a team in a playoff spot hoping to compete in Crosby’s dwindling years The Sabres on the other hand? Well we haven’t had a goalie in 5 years because “who’s actually available?” Quote
Scottysabres Posted yesterday at 03:36 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:36 PM (edited) I hope he does worse than skinner….. right after they announced Edmonton picking 1st overall that draft with McDavid and Eichel, I pulled out the dish, put the chicken bones in it, spit on the rocks and threw them in the bowl…….i then chanted the words for the curse….. ”Banished to Edmonton you are, never to win a cup, sent to the hockey dustbin of irrelevance” Its a solid curse Edited yesterday at 03:37 PM by Scottysabres 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago (edited) I don’t know who won or lost the Jarry trade. Does it make either team better? Bur what it tells me, in addition to Colorado moving both their goalies last season, is that it’s a lot easier to get a goalie than Sheevyn has made it out to be for the past 6 years. He was waived a year ago and any team could have claimed him. I think prior to his recent nice run, he was more or less viewed as an older and more expensive Stuart Skinner. The best I can really say is that the Oilers are at least going to try something else. 1 1 Quote

The results could go either way. 1 Quote

Porous Five Hole Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago I’ve never built an ice arena before, but I would have expected something closer to completion given we are 55 days away. Quote

Or correction we had one in Lehner but didn't have the supporting cast around him. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago It's a desperation move for Edmonton but I suppose they are hoping they get a good run out of the veteran goalie much like Colorado got when they swapped out theirs. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago The Quinn Hughes deal makes Minnesota (if healthy) a potential threat to Colorado and Dallas. But what they really need is to go full Florida and trade with the Sabres to add to their ex-Sabre factor including the new guy who helps them get over the edge. They already have: MoJo, Hinostroza, Foligno, and Bogosian. Add Tuch and now we're talking Cup contender! 1 Quote
shrader Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago On that note, how is Bogosian still in this league? Quote

Players get old and lose a step, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still play an important (lesser) role as long as they’re being paid accordingly. MoJo is having one of the best seasons of his career. Complete resurgence. And he’s making less than $1M. It’s the anti-Sabre palm tree tax contract. But if I’m Guerin there is no way I go into the playoffs with him penciled into my second line. Quote
