He chose a two-year deal probably to see what direction the team goes and to wait until the cap increases. Byram wants to be a top guy which will not happen with Dahlin and long-term, Mrtka could take his spot on the top pairing. Quote

It's easier to do when you're actually at the game. 😉 Just sayin'. (No idea how he normally does it.) Quote
Taro T Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Norris being a great teammate. He could've scored the goal, but wanted to let Thompson get his 2nd instead. 😉 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago So how's that Sabres power play doing? Quote

Seider isn't playing, Holl isn't playing, Compher isn't playing.  AHL goalie behind ~1/2 of their normal PKers. Sure, they brought their A team. Quote

Taro T Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Don't break Norris today. At least he hopped right back up. Sabres going to the PP. Quote
Taro T Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Winning faceoffs on the PP does help them avoid their stupid 80' drop pass. Which is a good thing.  But maybe Appert did learn something. they did not use the 80'+ drop pass on any of the 3 entries they've attempted this PP after clears. And they actually got into the zone with control 2 of the 3 times. Didn't get any more shots after the 1st flurry, but that wasn't because they couldn't get control back in the zone. That was just on poor shot selection. EDIT: They did not. 0/2 @ CBS and 1/4 @ DET. Overall the Sabres are 4/12 .333 Edited 2 hours ago by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote

Flashsabre Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I like Norris’ game so much better than Cozens’. He just needs to stay on the ice. Helenuis and Mrtka continue to impress. I have a strong feeling that Ruff has plans for both Dunne and Geertsen. Lyon has been pretty solid. 1 Quote

Lyon has been pretty solid. I agree with all of this, Helenius looks like he had a bright future, he should take a full time spot next year Mrtka is gonna be a stud. He could take a full time spot next year and not look out of place at all i would not be suprised if both Dunne and Geertsen are ticketed for the roster. And frankly we have needed this for a long time Quote
