I dont know what these charts are supposedly saying, but is that they are both really bad defensivley??

Each +1 or -1 is a standard deviation away from the mean. Above they are better than 50% of the league, below they are worse.

Also this is a rough explanation and if someone understands it better, go for it.

Fowler would be a nice veteran presence to add to the D core, his best days are behind him, but he would be valuable especially for a young Buffalo team, id assume they need Fowler in the deal to offset the cap of Byrams new deal. The only thing is Fowler has a partial no move so would he waive? He may have played with Kesserling and Doan and Tage at worlds I dont know? His partial no move is why I leaned to Kessel or Broberg in previous trade ideas

Neighbors is the opposite of Peterka, a hard working no nonsense winger, he would be a major add

Byram, Östlund and a pick if necessary for Neighbors and Fowler

Fowler has a 4 team trade list. My guess is that the Sabres are not one of the 4 teams he would accept a trade to.

The Sabres would need a D back I think. And the Blues would need to shed some space to extend Byram. Would Broberg be a good partner for Dahlin?  Broberg and Neighbors for Byram and…

Are we sure its 4 he's willing to go to and not just block 4 teams?

We could still try to convince him since he's from Windsor however.

I think the Blues are looking to add to Broberg for their D corps moving forward, not replace him.

The reason they want Byram is because Broberg is really the only top 4 D in their system between the ages of 20 and 30.

But they have scads of interesting young forwards.

Fowler is 33 and a UFA next summer. The Blues only gave up a 2nd to get him.

He played really well for them, but I think they move him and Nieghbours for Byram all day.

But I doubt He waives for Buffalo. I feel like he already has refused to earlier in his career.

Ya I think thats the deal to make Fowler and Neighbors, can we use Tage, Kesserling, Doan, and the USA connection to get him to waive? I dont know

Cause he has a 4 team trade list so thats really restrictive

That is really lowball offer tbh, Fowler and Neighbours for Byram,  Kyrou should be coming back in any trade with Stlouis for Byram.

IDK, I think Neighbours could turn out to be pretty good!  I wouldn’t hate that trade.  Besides….Kyrou ain’t coming here.

Know it ain't happenin', but if (when) the Sabres trade Byram, want HIM to be the one that has adders with going out the door so that Buffalo ends up the team getting the most roster altering (in a positive manner) player in the deal.  Doesn't have to be the best player; but really want the Sabres to be the team that WE believe won it.

Don't care if the other team believes they won the trade too.  But want, at the end of the day, should Byram get traded, all of us here being able to say, YES THIS is what a GOOD TRADE looks like!

Until we've been told Robertson is definitely in Dallas' plans for next year; that HAS to be the wishlist target.  Not sure that it makes nearly as much sense from Dallas' side as a Peterka package did; but make that happen, or swap Byram for a F that Dallas would be willing to see a package built around and send HIM to the Stars along with something else.

Kyrou’s full No Trade kicked in July 1st. He’s going nowhere

Or Byram + Samuelsson + Rosen

for Parayko + Holloway

I’d do Byram + Krebs for Andersson + Zary

and take my chances that Rasmus with Rasmus is the best top D pairing in the league and he is convinced to sign here

Rosen has little value and Muel has negative value.  IMO the Blues GM hangs up as soon as offer is made.

Byram + Prospect for Byfield

I still think Byfield could be special.  I think I’d even do Byram and Östlund (and that hurts because I really like Östlund) for Byfield and a 2nd.

Byfield be great yet can't see Kings doing it without a C prospect back.

I just dont see LA trading Byfield in a year that they want to win, I would absolutely die if we got him, casue it would be amazing, but I just dont see it

If teams are being that aggressive there is zero reason why Adams shouldn't pull a Regier level fleecing in any deal for him.

Anything that isn't a lopsided win for the Sabres especially when looked at as a package of what we got with the Peterka trade included is a major failure.
