Or someone similar via trade? Quote

On the free agent front, i was thinking Patty Kane might be a good one, but he had just 17 primary assists. Best bets are Mikael Granlund with 31 (17th in the league) while Ehlers had 27 Other guys potentially available: Necas: 32 Zibenajad 31 Danault 28 Rust 23 Rossi 22 If Byram's gotta go and the Kings are interested, Danault is somebody I'd be looking at. Only 21 NHL forwards had 30 primary assists Jason Zucker(!) led the Sbres with 24. Never would have guessed that. Not sure it's a stat I'd want to invest in heavily looking at the league leaders, but interesting and relevant. Ehlers would be really good. Sure he’s a diver, but for all their talk this offseason about wanting to “decrease skill in favour of grit” or whatever, it would be nice to add a guy who simply really fast and good and really good at passing 2 1 Quote

It probably doesnt age well, and the fact he's a RHD doesn't make that much sense in a trade for Buffalo Quote
Rasmus_ Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago I notice there's not been many credible source updates. Other than teams are interested. KA is so pathetic. Quote

Rust seems like the defacto option if we dont get one in the Byram deal. His no trade is gone tomorrow, we have been rumored to want him and Pitt has openly said they want picks and prospects for there veterans so we could easily do that I could live with a Byram for a physical stay at home dman for Dahlin and then Rust for picks and prospects. Rust has had a bit of an injury bug lately but he is still an elite forward that does all his damage around the net. I dont know enough about him to say if he is physical or not, id hope hes like Zucker. And Zucker would know him well as he has played with Pitt in the past. The biggest question is has he hit that post 30 wall and how inflated are his numbers playing with Crosby Quote

As in Pit wanted the pick, but couldn't move Rust until tomorrow? So there's a Rust for ??? coming soon that would make that deal make a little more sense? 1 Quote

I would hate if it was one of our better prospects line Henlius or Östlund. Someone like Rosen might not be enough. But I don’t think Rusty is that good. I think he just got to clean up a lot of Crosby’s chances. Quote

Granted you could move Tage back to center and Kulich to LW but that's a lot of moving for him and Tage is betetr at RW and Kulich at center 1 Quote
The Jokeman Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago At this point I would take anyone of the following for Byram: 1. Quinton Byfield 2. Dawson Mercer 3. Dmitri Voronkov 4. Jordan Kyrou 5. Jason Robertson Yet knowing Kevyn Adams none of them are coming here. 1 1 Quote

LGR4GM Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago I don't think I've said it here but, if adams doesn't spend near the cap and let's Byram go and just has millions in unused money, he's a giant fraud and a con. Spend to make this team more competitive and if convincing players to come here is too hard for you, quit because you're incapable of doing your job. Just now, inkman said: What’s a poison pill for a team with $20 mill in cap space? With Adams around, probably anything over 6 million. 2 Quote

Yeah there’s no way to poison pill it - people do that by making a qualifying offer the second year super high… He’s UFA after second year. Therefore it’s useless. Quote
