Kyrou is an older/slightly better version of Peterka, so would be good.  I think he's allergic to defense too (like Peterka)

St Louis have a need for LHD? Kyrou would be an improvement over Peterka.  Still have holes at goalie and D partner for Dahlin, but UFA or further trades should be able to address that

The Sabres were interested in him at the trade deadline. He's listed as a center and shoots right.  Can never have too many centers, but one of our centers would have to play LW then - between Norris, Kulich, Kyrou as none of them are a 3rd line center (maybe Kulich?)

It sounds like Dobson is headed to Montreal or Columbus. Up until today St Louis was mentioned too. Maybe that’s a sign?

I think this is too much - keep the 9th, send Byram and a prospect.  Kyrou is a great player and you do what it takes to make it work, but look at this unbalance it creates.  We should really be targeting a LWer.

Centers: Kyrou, Norris, Kulich, Mcleod, Krebs (very strong - who moves to wing, specifically LW?)

RW: Tage, Tuch, Quinn, Doan, (solid)

LW:  Benson, Zucker, Greenway, Maelstyn (yuck)

Pretty sure Kyrou is pretty much exclusively a winger these days.

Also pretty much a guaranteed 30-goal man who has been bad defensively most of his career. He has a no-trade that kicks in Tuesday.

Really, he's an older, better Peterka.

Blues have Fowler, Faulk and Leddy on left D who have similar games to Byram but they are also a lot older. They also have nothing like Byram in the pipeline and a lot of forward prospects coming.

Both teams have a lot of pieces that could be used as sweeteners.

I guess I could see it if St. Louis sees the need to reset. Less so if it's about this year.

If Byram (projected PP#1 will score 50+ points) is the primary piece for Kyrou (70-point forward), then you shouldn't need to include 9OA. A shrewd (non-desperate) GM making that trade might move a lottery-protected 1st, but then there would need to be assets coming back. For Kyrou, 9 is off the table for me. 

Heck, Utah just got a 68-point winger for a depth D-man and a bottom-6 forward.

If you want to throw in Lafferty... or Rosen, fine. But Byram should be considered a stud and has a higher ceiling at his position than Kyrou does at his.

Looks like St. Louis is in on Noah dobson not Byram.  I would be too.  Sabres could have landed Dobson for JJP.

Eeek, no. Why are we overvaluing Kyrou so much? He's not a multiple-1st Eichel-level move. I'd argue Byram is the best player in the draft (certainly with regards to upside).
