You're essentially paying a PPG player for closer to 4 mil than 7 mil. I don't think Sam's development is a fluke, It would be wise to lock him up NOW. I have no doubt Sam can sustain this PPG pace throughout the duration of his career and better. You may save like 3 mil on the cap and have a super affordable contract going forward.
