I remember that hit like it was yesterday. Lala coming across center ice, flying. Absolutely flying. D steps up and catches Patty with his head down. Lafontaine spins around after contact and his helmet comes off. No helmet, forehead bounces off the ice. Patty is gone for like a month. Beginning of the end.  First two were while he was still with NYI.
