thesportsbuff
I've always used NHLNumbers because I knew about that long before I heard of CapGeek, but I've heard CapGeek has some neat features.
IKnowPhysics
TSN regularly cites Capgeek as a source on-air, meaning that either TSN doesn't want to figure things out OR, more likely, that they think Capgeek does a good job.
Two or less
capgeek for sure, its used by most nhl reporters. Also, NHL Numbers has issues with viruses several times a year, thus killing lots of their business.
carpandean
I'm old school, so I still default to nhlnumbers. However, they've taken some information off or moved it around, so I don't find it as useful any more. Capgeek's got all the info and some great armchair GM tools. X. Benedict
what say you? Capgeek has been more reliable and seems to be updating daily.
Eleven
Capgeek gets blocked at work. NHL Numbers doesn't. So I usually use the latter, although the former seems to be better.
SabresFan526
I used to be an NHLnumbers guy, but I've moved to Capgeek. So many more tools and you can build what-if models and scenarios based on projected salaries for RFAs, UFAs, etc. You can make hypothetical trades, etc. Capgeek is a far more comprehensive tool than NHLnumbers. Capgeek also updates within seconds of the transaction becoming official by the NHL. I had some delays with NHLnumbers.
carpandean
Capgeek also updates within seconds of the transaction becoming official by the NHL. I had some delays with NHLnumbers. There were some opposite cases pointed out here around July 1. Maybe not days, but nhlnumbers had some moves incorporated first.
SabresFan526
There were some opposite cases pointed out here around July 1. Maybe not days, but nhlnumbers had some moves incorporated first. I got the Heatley-Havlat trade updated within seconds of the deal approved by the NHL. It was amazing. The other stuff in Capgeek is a lot better than NHLnumbers in my opinion. Although, I do like the nhlnumbers UI better, but Capgeek is much more powerful.

shrader
I'm going to have menu links to both for everyone's convenience. Not that anyone will ever read it, but maybe you could consider throwing a link to the CBA up there too.
SDS
Not that anyone will ever read it, but maybe you could consider throwing a link to the CBA up there too. I'll have that, plus I'll be tapping the shoulders of a few experts to come up with a concise FAQ section that everyone can refer to.
Cereal
I've always used NHL Numbers, just by default. However, I just puttered around on CapGeek for awhile because of this thread, and it's....awesome!
