Actually clean is whatever is in the rule book. If the NHL allowed the throwing of salt in eyes, you'd say it was clean. I just have this mental image of two NFL punters going to midfield, taking off their helmets and swinging while everyone watched. Wouldn't be embarrassing? I keep watching it, and I cannot see Johnson's fist hit DP's head. By the way, this does NOT mean I think it was dirty; far from it. I think that Johnson missed with the punch and connected with the forearm behind the punch. Am I that off? Maybe I need it slowed down to a frame-by-frame or something.
