The Sabres have to be leading the league over the past two seasons in total games in which they score 2 goals or less. Very interested in seeing the third game of the Tyler Myers era. Hockey is not a better game because that hit on Dumont is considered "clean" and legal. i'm all for eliminating blows to the head -- ohl juniors style -- i think it's shrader who educated me to that school of thought. but robidas' hit is not one that i would put in a reel of incidents supporting such a rule change. he didn't leave his feet to deliver the hit -- but the laws of physics dictated that he "jump" a little following the collision. dumont was practically sniffing his own d*ck when robidas (all 5'10"/180# of him by the looks of it) stepped into him -- and how was the d-man supposed to finish his check, with his arms behind his back? but like i said, i have no problem with a sea-change in the game's culture dictating that blows to the head will result in a variety of in-game and supplemental discipline, whether the contact was intentional or not.
