You wanted to be governor. Voters yawned.

You wanted to own a hockey team. You yawned.

You wanted to control Albany.

You wanted to control Buffalo.

You moved to Florida. I'm sure they're thrilled to have you.

You got divorced.

You're dating a tennis star who's old enough to be your granddaughter.

We seem to forget that without Golisano buying this once bankrupt team we might not have such Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo.

Very true. I don't care what Golisano does in his time outside of hockey and i sure as hell don't care who he dates. He kept the Sabres in Buffalo and that's all that matters to me. I'm not 100% happy with the guy but bottom line is, if he didn't save the Sabres, probably nobody would have. Amazing how quickly some people forget that.

I have no idea what brought me to this thread. Was it your "apology"?

I guess your monicker says it all right down to the bone (Old Grumpy Ba$tard)

a) We don't know if anyone else would have stepped in

b) I do feel a debt gratitude is owed

c) I could care less about his social life but I think his political ambition is dangerous

d) His investment is now worth at least 5 times what he paid for it

e) Its time for him to give his hockey people the green light to go for it or sell the team

Why do you care about any of this?

You don't care what kind of person owns "your" hockey team?

I do, but I don't see any of the items you listed (losing an election, moving out of NYS, getting divorced or dating a younger woman (who is 36, btw, and TG is 67)) as indicators of being a bad guy.

This just sounds like more classic WNY fear and loathing of the wealthy.

Finally, while I'm not expressing a preference for one party's group of corrupt, incompetent NYS political hacks to another, I don't see how anyone can be unhappy with a change in the NYS government.

Did you prefer felons?

There we go.
