In pre-cable days, you would have a TV antenna on your roof. It would have a little motor that would rotate the shaft it was mounted on so you could "aim" it to give you the best TV signal. This was the controller for the antenna on your roof, and it would sit on your television set. I put aim in quotes because the aiming was not very precise. You'd find what works best for a particular station and as other have alluded to, mark that on the controller so when you put Channel 4 on, you'd rotate the antenna to the spot that usually works best for Channel 4. But depending on the weather that might not even give you the best reception for that channel.

At that time he said he hadn't been asked and if he was, he'd have to evaluate, but also mentioned wanting to work in the offseason to make sure he could "play every game" next season. My thought was the same. Not sure if Team Canada is going to care that they're teammates.

Huh. I thought that game was over. Didn't even switch over to watch after the OT goal in the other game; last I saw it was 3-0 and figured it was a laugher for the Stars. The Avs got the last laugh I guess.

Okay. And I get that he had a good playoff that year. Show me he can do it on the Sabres. And find a 3C. The Sabres have enough defensive depth at this point. Incremental improvement was needed, not a big splash. In making the big splash, they plucked out the heart of the Top Nine forward group.

The way Mittsy's game developed here, it was clear to me he'd be good in the playoffs. He started out a clueless kid but developed into a warrior with good puck sense. Maybe Byram is that guy and he will show it this year, but to my eyes this was Adams' worst trade as Sabres GM.
