I can think of reasons. Maybe the want to change the makeup of the lines toward tenacious play. Or maybe they plan on using him on the fourth line and with Kozak, Krebs and/or Malenstyn moving up to a different line.
Lyon's leg was hooked/impeded by an Oiler just prior to the tying goal at 19:59 and he was out of position because of it. But, y'know, that's legal if McJesus's team does it I guess.
