Well I will, but then again tomorrow's a work from home day and on Central Time, so the game starts at 9:30 for me. -

From Lance on bsky https://bsky.app/profile/llysowski.bsky.social/post/3lbfpc7jjbc24 So... looks like RosΓ©n took Tuch's spot on line rushes but will sit when Tuch plays. -

Huh. I thought it would be the other way around. According the DailyFaceoff, the Sabres line up this way: JJP - McLeod - Tuch Benson - Cozens - Lafferty Zucker - Kulich - Quinn Malenstyn - Krebs - NAK Dahlin - Byram Power - Joki Bryson - Clifton UPL (Reimer) Has anyone seen anything about practice lines? Is this accurate? If these lines hold, points of interest (to me anyway): Lafferty on the Cozens line... strange but let's see how it works. Kulich at center -

Looking at this gif, it strikes me that no one gets into a fight to lose except Peyton Krebs. -

Medium Well -
That's a Cowboy's joke. Actually I think that would be the Cowboys. Did you watch that game last night? Oof. Terrible.

I don't think it's coaching. They've reached the end of their run; time for a fire sale and rebuild. Which the Bruins will probably carry out in short order and once again leave the Sabres behind.

The planned QB rushes seem to get sniffed out, especially by well-coached defense like KC's. So when Josh did have planned runs earlier in the game, they were minimal. Josh has been on a tight leash this season after injuring his left hand in Game 1 and rarely rushes in a scramble situation. But when he does it's usually a very important play and usually near the endzone. And when he sees the endzone it's kind of like blood in the water- there's no stopping him, especially if only one player is attempting to tackle him at a time. It takes multiple people to bring him down. He's like that one player on the middle school team who's had a big growth spurt and is bigger and stronger than everyone else and can just run through people. I imagine his workout routine incorporates exercises that develop the muscles that allow him to bull through people like that.

I was pretty frustrated with that on the last drive. Luckily they didn't go to low risk plays on 2nd, 3rd (and yeah, 4th) downs. Perhaps, but I'd like to see them beat the Chiefs at least.
-
I look at it this way: He is likely not at his ceiling and still needs development. To develop he needs to play. He develop if he's riding the pine. When his development is further along, then you can decide: Is he a backup? A 1B? or... maybe a #1? If they keep him with the big team, though, his development will stagnate and his game will never be elevated over its current level. Maybe it was not having Tage on the ice.

Two words: Mack Hollins. He hasn't made a ton of catches, but with the receiving corps dinged up he's made a few crucial ones. He was a nice find.

...except for in the red zone. Cook with 2 rushing TDs last night.
-
Davis too. It's just incredible that they have these two young RBs *and* vet Ty Johnson; they're all excellent backs.

You are correct. And really, it's not even close.
