  1. Lol, literally none of those are facts.
  2. Narrator: They could not.
  3. Well, if we can't beat the 4th worst team in the league, maybe we can beat the worst team in the league? Must win.
  4. Back to where Jimmy Hoffa is! (Not really, Devils play at the Prudential Center now.) Must win.
  5. ***** the Leafs.
  6. Doesn't factor the exorbitant QoC he's been saddled with.
  7. Should start a Russian Buffalo troll farm pushing the #BabcockOut agenda and watch Toronto tear itself apart.
  8. Lol wut. Don't care if Skinner signs... cite Skinner leaving as a reason why team would be terrible...? Make no mistake, we need to sign Skinner.
  9. Miscarriages and stillbirths still happen with a surprising and tragic amount of frequency. It's often treated like a shameful or embarrassing secret, but those feelings bely the need for healthy emotional support from loved ones through those incredibly difficult times. No one ever deserves to go through that and no one ever deserves to go through that alone.
  10. And unless we win the lottery, we're not in position to draft such a player, so may as well win. Can't learn to win if you don't try to win.
  11. Tanking, while necessary and I supported it, is over. Tanking rots the confidence of the team. This team needs to build confidence to win. We should strive to be winning from now on. Additionally, the reward for tanking is not as great as the cost for another year of poor confidence, the cost of another lost season for Eichel, Reinhart, Risto, Dahlin, Skinner, season ticket holders, etc. The reward is especially not as good now with the new lottery odds, where even if you finish last, you have only an 18.5% chance of picking 1st and more than a 50% chance of picking 4th overall. We currently have the highest odds to pick 8-9ish. If were to win out the last 12 games, we'd still only pick 16th-ish. Winning does not bring a high draft price to pay.
  12. LeBrun pontificates in the Athletic today that teams could try to trade with Las Vegas to circumnavigate the Seattle expansion draft rules. Bill Daly denied it as a possibility, saying teams "won't," but didn't specify how the league c/would stop them. LV is not participating in the Seattle expansion. As a result, LV does not get a share of the $650M Seattle expansion fee. This was unanimously agreed upon by teams, who stood to gain ~$700k each by allowing LV to skip the SEA expansion and splitting the $650M fee among 30 teams (not 31). Interesting economic trade.
  13. Poignant analysis. Layman Recap: Everything sucks. Isolating all other suckage, even the goalies suck. Lots of players suck and should be traded for players that don't suck. Many of those players that suck have sucked for years, no improvement is expected, and the GM needs to clean them out. From the rumors swirling at the deadline, a surprising number of players that don't suck may be available. Sabres have better cap space than most to get players that don't suck.
  14. KBC is owned by Erie County, and by being the major lessee, PSE may be probing the ability to improve the facility using little to no public funds. To do that, they would want to know how much money they can gather in the following years from the improvement. It'd be like if you wanted to take out a mortgage to improve your house, but you don't own/have any equity in your house, you rent it like an apartment. No one would give you that loan, unless you could give serious collateral and prove how you were going to pay for it. That kind of research will tell PSE whether they havw $5M/$10M/$50M to play with for improvements.
  15. Almost all of the questions I was asked focused on whether or not I would pay $X for season tickets in different seating areas. That's not a survey inquiring about my amenity preferences, that's market research.
  16. Max led the team with 73 points in '05-'06.
  17. By the way, Mike Commodore crushed the trade deadline, breaking three trades: He also fumble Simmonds' trade twice, but meh.
  18. I know we acquired Skinner for beans, but it would be a Danny Briere-level misstep to not extend Skinner, and would be an iceberg for Botterill. There had better be a plan.
  19. Lol, Columbus has ONLY a 3rd round pick in the draft this year. All other picks have been traded.
