  1. Not sure about tonight. Maybe another loss, as Price is hot. We do have a home stand of STL, DAL, NYI, OTT, and PHI coming up after this one. We have enough to hate to squeeze out three points there somewhere I think.
  2. They've turned tanking into a tax-deductable charitable venture.
  3. Flip yo monitor upside-ass.
  4. Don't forget ESPN Illegal, home to Bull Fighting, Dog Fighting, and Magic.
  5. It's a grueling death march we slog, but we must endure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9hNNXMfBIs
  6. We must drive the horde of mongrels to the top of the graph!
  7. Our season pace is currently only one point lower than last year. Hang in there baby!
  8. Oh, I know. But at the moment, I choose to ignore that.
  9. So in five picks, you could pull something like: Perrault, Girgensens, Andreychuk, McKee, and Tallinder. That's about a third of an NHL team. On a Cup-winning team, that's a franchise player, two top six guys (maybe Z is 3rd line, maybe), a top-pair shutdown D, and a #3 D.
  10. Selected Sabres draft picks near these positions: 1/2: Sam Reinhart, Pierre Turgeon, Gilbert Perrault 15ish: Zemgus Girgensens, Jay McKee, Brad May, Calle Johansson, Ric Seilig, Larry Playfair 16ish: Nikita Zadorov, Dimitri Kalinin, Marty Biron, Dave Andreychuk 31ish: Brendan Lemiuex, JT Compher, Derek Roy, Cory Sarich, Jason Dawe, Benoit Hogue, Danny Gare 45ish: Eric Cornel, Justin Bailey, Jake McCabe, Jhonas Enroth, Hank Tallinder, Curtis Brown
  11. It keeps slipping my mind that we have more than one first round draft pick. I haven't even begun to think about what we should do there. We, and by we, I mean everyone, including the entire team's god damned win-loss record, have been so focused on McEichel. If the standings are an indication, and they're not, we also have the 24th and 28th picks (and 31st and 54th). 1 or 2 overall and five of the top 54ish! If the Blues and Islanders drop the first rounds, we could have, roughly: 1/2, 15, 16, 31, and 45. My tank is so hard right now.
  12. Exactly right, but only this bolded part. Wherever he plays, he'll mature off ice as he plays, regardless of whether he plays in the AHL or NHL. He'll encounter adversity, overcome it, and he'll likely be better for it. He learned a lesson about conditioning and addressed it. He's learned a lesson about time management(?) and I expect, after a talk with the bosses, he'll learn from that too. I'm only concerning myself about which league he plays in based on his level of play and whether or not the league is good for the development of his game. But that right there is a pretty good reason to miss practice.
  13. He'd have to clear waivers.
  14. He did what no one has ever done before: he moved to Los Angeles and did less coke.
  15. Interesting thought.
  16. Rinne's only going to be out for a short while. He's skating again today. Nashville will deal with it- Carter Hutton backed him up decent enough anyways.
  17. At least he shows up to practice. Wait.
  18. I'm voting yes. Let's give it a try. Call it "Taro Sez..."
  19. Penalty Box 300 Section Taro Sez... edit: Actually, a shout box named Taro Sez... would be pretty fun.
  20. Team rules gotta be followed. Especially the kids.
  21. It's your show. I feel like GDT's are indispensable for pre-game shenanigans and post-game discussion, but I always felt that a real-time doohickey would be more fun for in-game blathering. These aren't strong opinions, though.
  22. If you want, I guess. @Complete_Nonsense: BUF Neuvirth and Zadorov rumored to LAK for Regehr, McBain, promise to take Richards off waivers.
  23. Over the years, I tried a handful of times to get it fired up, especially for bigger games. Sometimes we got a few. Sometimes not. If you have the link at all, having it indicate number of users in the chat room seemed immensely useful. Otherwise literally nobody would ever click on it.
