I like him too and I love the way he's moved forward this season. But rumors are suggesting that Murray could be about commit armed robbery of some team. We've got a lot of long-term needs, and some of those needs might outweigh the need to keep Myers, considering that we've got Gorges, Risto, and Zad, with Pysyk, and McCabe in the stable. I admire the idea of keeping Myers with that group and icing what could develop into a redonkulous defense, but when names like Tatar, Nyquist, Gibson, etc, are thrown around in big package deals, I grow a big rubbery one for the skilled, well-balanced team that helps build. I'm excited for the player Myers has become, but I'm also excited for the price Murray could exact from some wanting GM.

Sabres player notes 2014-15 (callups, injuries, practice notes)
IKnowPhysics replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
this is the thread i was looking for Sabres aanounced on social media that they're giving away trading cards at the next home game against the Islanders... ...and are already catching ###### for that great action shot of Enroth. -
Although, despite Clarence Campbell's best efforts, we've got a pretty good track record with the spinny wheel.
-
Despite the propensity for that to be rigged as , it would be entertaining. Hardcore fanbases would hilariously turn on GMs that botch it, possibly accelerating their demise.

He's a top-five draft asset that's potentially being sold off cheap because he hates his team. Even with all of the issues holding him back, he's still a 50-55 point player as a 23 year old on an offensively weak team, but he's young enough that he could continue to develop to be more capable than that. Add in the fact that he'd be a top-two left winger on a team that doesn't have such yet, and he might be a good fit with Buffalo. That said, Buffalo fans are not going to tolerate any of his off ice .

Tankrection confirmed.

Yeah, when they put him retroactive IR yesterday, that sent off alarm bells for me that he wasn't going to finish the season.

Hell, even if this is posturing to jack up Detroit to pay GMTM's ransom, I'm extremely ok with this manipulation.

If it were Nick Ritchie and Hampus Lindholm coming back, I'd trade Myers and the BUF 2nd rounder NYI 1st. It'd be the quality over quantity trade that we deserve for Myers (who's leading us in ice time). Two great young guys. LW Ritchie (10th overall) with power-forward size would compliment any young center we put out there. Sophomore D Lindholm (6th overall) has already shown his competency at the NHL level with 52 points in 128 games.

I'd like the two of you to immediately explore career options with Ernst & Young.

This was brought up elsewhere, but I figure it's thread-worthy. For those not in the know, Val James became the first black American-born NHL player when he played for the Sabres in 1981. His NHL career was brief, but he played professional hockey, much of it with the Amerks, for a number of years, until a shoulder injury let him vanish from the game. The Waterloo Region Record did a nice write up on him here: http://www.therecord.com/sports-story/5325627-nhl-fans-horrible-racism-recalled-by-val-james/ Fascinating accounts, if saddening and horrifying.

We're on Kane Watch over in the Trade Speculation thread, btw, because it's rumored that Buffalo has expressed interest in him, as have a few other teams.
-
This sounds like a joke, but Z has four points in his last three games. Although he did only skate 13:39 though that last game, so maybe he's banged up or in the dog house.

Hodgson, Messyzaros, and the NYI 2. Maybe throw us a 4th.

I think this why the price won't be so high on him, not because of correctable off ice issues. Fourth Period (linked up thread) indicates that the interested teams are Montreal, Philly, LA, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Toronto. Notes: Montreal and Pittsburgh are in the playoffs and would need him on the ice. Philly and LA are trying to make the push and would need him on the ice. Pittsburgh and Toronto don't have enough cap space for him and would need to ship back roster players just to have him finish the season post-deadline. Montreal, Philly, and LA are close on cap space, but have just enough room to take him on any time this season. If the other teams decide they invariably NEED a player on the ice this season and/or they aren't willing to move other pieces around to free up cap space, Kane's price could drop.
-
I'm not sure Toronto will win. They're still immensely profitable and marketable even when losing. If the fix is in, I'd bet on a struggling team in a non-traditional market: ARI, FLA, CBJ, CAR, in that order.

First click: Sabres win. I'm not clicking any more times. This is my reality now.

What was the instance and who was the source? I don't follow this guy at all, probably won't. Also, it's Uncle Rico coming out of retirement.

I like Dan. I don't love Dan, at least yet. But I'd take him and Rayzor singing nothing but ###### love songs before I listen to any the following television PBP announcers: Jack Edwards John Forslund Jeff Rimer Steve Goldstein Howie Rose Sam Rosen Jim Jackson Rick Peckham John Ahlers Matt McConnell Ralph Strangis Bob Miller (this is a close one) Anthony LaPanta John Kelly
