Maybe late to this, but what a POS Wilson is, man. That hit was just slightly less awful than Neil's on Drury. Garbage.

I count myself among those who think that Antipin had a different path to travel in the NHL, had things gone better for him. I don't lay that at anyone's feet, particularly. There were more than several plays that Antipin made, where I was like, "Wait. Whoa - that was effing NICE right there." I think he had much more to give and offer, and it just didn't come together for him. So, to me, it was more than a Concept situation. He repeatedly flashed signs of becoming a very nice NHL player. I don't feel that way about the other prospects who were enumerated upthread. Edit: Although I do think Baptiste can become a useful bottom 6 player on a good NHL team.

Leaving aside inky’s reason for wanting to scrap — yeah, inside one’s head. It’s Oh Ess Pee.

In any case, no one pronounces “OSP” — it is pronounced “Oh Ess Pee” — yeah?

Soccer (Football) ~ Everything About The Beautiful Game
That Aud Smell replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
What a crap game that turned out to be. I hope Ramos slips in the shower and breaks his effing leg. Knocks out Salah, then cold Karius (which may have played a role in the Bale howler?). -
Fare thee well, you plug.

@we’ve : the local board told him as much!

Kim Pegula On Key Bank Center and The Sabres
That Aud Smell replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Interesting tidbit, for sure. A pity there was no follow up. But that’s PSE for you. //(Awaits reply about how Harrington would have got the answer.)// -
I'm not so sure. I think he does really, really care about the goose poop on his property, and that he really, really wants the government to address and resolve the situation for him ... in no small part because he thinks his taxes are too damn high. As in, "I pay so much in taxes, I should get a concierge service like this." I don't discount, out of hand, the calls for tax reform in states like New York. OTOH, I have come to distrust the motivations of the super rich in advocating for lowered taxes. They claim that their position is meant for the benefit of everyone, but I think it's really just to benefit them.

Transit Road, I think. And I agree: I don't *not* go there, full stop, because the owner went a bit bonkers on Twitter and RT'd some weird Info Wars type s h1t. But I may go there a little less frequently as a result. Good call on KP's remarks. And a good metaphor, too.

Interesting. Btw, Kim Pegula’s extensive remarks to TBN were fairly illuminating.

Casa Azul for my money. I think Divina had a patchy record with possible human trafficking.

Sorry - didn’t mean to be opaque. Hip, hot local restaurateur went public with his politics, in a pretty big (and unprovoked) way. My take is that he alienated a lot of people who now choose to get tacos and margaritas from other purveyors.

My eyes on the street say "yes." For my own part, I've been to Hertel on 4 Fridays. 2 were pre-kerfuffle. 2 were post-kerfuffle. The crowds varied significantly (with the latter visits yielding us a table within minutes). Additionally, he's more recently been dabbling in Groupon type stuff and other get-people-in-the-door promotions. I think there was a fallout. At some stores. I don't think the one in East Amherst was affected at all, for example.

Quick takes: I do dislike Incognito, but it sounds like he's having (more) serious issues. I hope he gets the help he needs. He seemed quite erratic this off-season. And for all the flack I give him, fact is he helped end the drought. With regard to the NFL looking to stifle controversy: It ain't about politics. It's about money, honey. Ask our man at Deep South Taco how it went when he went all in on being a proud quasi-alt-right-er. Some of his stores are still doing well. Others, not so much. The NFL wants as much of everyone's money as they can get. So they don't want controversy. Plain and simp (the system's a pimp, and I refuse to be a hoe!).

Whether he can fell a tree in Sweden really has no bearing in predicting how he’ll do cutting down lumber in WNY. Edit: Wait. I get it now.

Holy Mackerel! Sabres Win Dahlin Lottery!
That Aud Smell replied to Randall Flagg's topic in The Aud Club
Yeesh. Well, one thing I’ll say: People who get here almost invariably find it’s not the place it’s often reputed to be. Hockey players as a group tend to love it here. -
Even setting aside the issues I have with his game and his reported approach to off-ice preparation, the deal is a real risk. The guy plays so recklessly, or at least needs to do so in order to be effective, that you wonder whether his body will hold up. OTOH, he had no major injury issues last season.

Haha. Eff off, Tom.

Nah, brah. I literally don’t follow your line of thinking there. Best I can tell, there isn’t a defensible one to follow. Also: What was with the Swedes thinking Buffalo is a city God forgot? -
He should be good for Roch.

What a rare and remarkable talent. RIP. I have found that I must visit his music with care and caution. Its power is astonishing, and it can lead the listener to some dark and lonely places. When I’m in the right mood, though — Jesus. Listening to him is like being in a “thin place,” as the Irish say.

Hooray for everyone.

If he’s not generational, then the standards are a smidge too exacting.
