  1. You simply cannot give him the C as he's on an expiring contract. KA needs to leave open the option of moving him at the deadline.
  2. There's no reason from the Sabre's perspective, but he's a Canadian kid who's dreamed of playing in the WJC since he could skate. I'm sure he'd like to be out there with his buddies, representing his country with a very good chance to bring home a gold medal.
  3. Comrie will surprise.
  4. He's a serviceable NHL player. That said, do better.
  5. I agree, Bryson is a 7/8 fringe guy. Good guy to have in the organization, however not a guy you want to pencil in to the starting lineup if you plan on contending. That said, Ryan Johnson is a decent B level prospect. He skates well, but backs down from physical play and his offensive instincts leave something to be desired. I won't bat an eyelash if Ryan leaves via FA next summer... getting a second round pick as compensation would be a fair deal.
  6. He's an AHL player. Got absolutely eaten up playing against good teams.
  7. "Although Kulich isn’t a prolific scorer, his early start in Czechia’s top division is a testament to his quality. Despite signing an entry-level deal in Buffalo, he will return to the Extraliga for another year of development in 2022-23."
  8. Are they selecting new rosters? Or keeping the same and picking up where they left off? Will the 2023 WJC happen at Christmas time... only 4 months after the 2022 event? How much will the rosters change?
  9. Due to senility, Anderson forgets to take his Geritol before the opening game. While stepping onto the ice for warmups he suffers a grade 12 bi-lateral groin tear and leaves KBC in a wheelchair. He retires by Thanksgiving. Levi sets an NCAA record by recording a shutout in each and every start, but loses the National Championship game due to an own goal in the 5th OT. He decides to return to college to avenge the loss and prove to himself that he can stop not only the opposition but his own teammates. Tage Thompson is diagnosed with Marfans syndrome. He grows an additional 8 inches during the season becoming the tallest player to ever play. At the conclusion of the season he retires from hockey to join the circus. Jack Quinn gets traded as part of a four-team deal involving Jack Hughes, Quinn Hughes, Quinn Jack, (the other) Jack Hughes, and Hugh Jackman.
  10. Jonathan Quick
  11. So I talked to Craig earlier this week. At this point in time he plans to return to college. That said he had plenty of nice things to say about Buffalo. Ryan got along great with the guys and genuinely enjoyed his time at dev camp.
  12. If only he was 3 inches taller.
  13. His Dad is worth $500m, money isn't an issue.
  14. His Dad is Bill Comrie, founder of The Brick, one of Canada's largest volume retailers.
  15. Where's the Russians? I thought they signed Kisakov?
  16. Won't know for a few years, but overall I thought the talent level in this draft was weak. Would not surprise me one bit if all three 1st round picks are colossal busts.
  17. Why the ***** not?
  18. I woulda been OK with a 2-way deal 1 year at 1.75, or 2 at 1.50. I don't believe, in my heart of hearts, that he's an NHL caliber defenseman. He struggled mightly against good teams.
