    Tank 3.0

still 3rd from the bottom https://www.talk.hockey/tank-tracker/ if BUF loses and EDM+TOR win, say hello to 29th place.
  2. ROR looks out of gas. Hopefully DB reduces his minutes the next few games.

McGinn and Foligno are nice bottom 6 guys. If they can be had for reasonable contracts, they should keep them. It's not like they're going to be over the hill veterans by the time this team is a contender.
  4. They just signed him to a 5 year deal. A buyout would be too costly after just 1 year. They'll prolly give him another year before pulling the plug. Hopefully he get it figured out over the off season. Price is that good.
  5. Weber has been playing well. I've been a critic of his, but was surprised to see he'll likely sit this one out.
  6. fast: Eichel accurate: Kane hard: Kane breakaway: Ennis
  7. http://www.generalfanager.com/players/390 tl;dr he has 1 year left at 3.1 no thank you
  8. Prust is dust. want nothing to do with him.
  9. Yeah, I wonder too. Would be nice to see them add the extra 5ft for an outdoor game. I have a feeling that's not too far away.
  10. You're talking about a 200x100 Olympic ice surface, 15ft wider than NHL, which is just too much space IMO. Olympic: 200x100 NHL: 200x85 hybrid: 200x(92-94) Burke: 200x90 In fact, the new arena in Detroit will have the ability to expand from 85 to 90ft as Ken Holland is a big proponent of the slightly wider surface.
  11. If that's the case, why wasn't he traded for Drouin?
  12. Compared to the 70s and 80s, today's NHL game is boring. Dump puck, chase, retrieve, pass back to point, cross fingers that shot finds the back of the net... wash, rinse repeat. Players are too big these days, there's not enough room on the ice, especially on zone entries where players need more room to skate around the defensemen. I like Brian Burke's proposal to make the ice surface 5 feet wider, but retrofitting arenas would be costly, or impossible in some cases.
  13. Buffalo is 3rd in points lost %, and has the 3rd worst goal differential. IMO Columbus moves out of the bottom 3 by the end of the season, leaving BUF, EDM, TOR in the basement. If BUF finishes 3rd last, they have an 86% chance of picking in the top 5.
  14. I don't. The only reason he is where he is, is because of his size. Thousands of guys with more skill and determination than John Scott, never even sniff the NHL. The fact he's making $700k/yr on a one-way contract makes him the luckiest man on earth IMO.
  15. Did he back out of the all-star game yet? I hear Ovi and Toews are non-participants because of Scott's presence turning the festivities it into a clown show when it should be celebrating the truly great players in the game today.
  16. I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong... well, mmmmuhhh, actually I did, well I meant "nothing wrong" in the eyes of the legal system. The only (provable) wrong thing he did was sending a snap. Everybody speeds, some more than others... everybody uses there phone while driving too... and that doesn't make it right. At least he didn't crash into a Tim Horton's and flee the scene.
  17. None of that can be proven in a court of law. He's done nothing wrong.
  18. nothing illegal about that (i'm assuming he was speeding on a closed course race track).
  19. Speaking of the Darcy let themOilers, imagine if sign Vanek and took their 5 first round picks a eam and maybe they wouldn't have had such n the fold, but what if t ended up with hey did? We'd have ended up with guys nd Yakupov if they took the same guys. s compensation back in 2007? Man oh man oh malike Eberle, Hall, an.... the league would be completely different. I understand EDM wohigh picks with Vanek iuld've been a different t Maybe BUF would'veMcDavid too?
  20. permutational mathematics.. duh!
