  1. Here in soCal you need to specifically ask for blue cheese instead of ranch... unless you find yourself at Santora's nearby here in MV where blue cheese is standard.
  2. There's still a lot of hockey left to be played between now and the deadline. If they go on some insane hot streak, they might stand pat at the deadline, maybe add a veteran. If they continue down the same path they've been on, I'd expect guys like Girgensons, Foligno, Gionta, Kulikov, Ennis, etc... to be up for grabs.
  3. Does GMTM have full control of the coaching situation? Or is he at the mercy of Terry (like Whaley)?
  4. That was a bad rebound. That said, I don't pin this loss on Lehner... should h3 have caught the puck? Yes. Did the Sabres deserve to win? No.
  5. McCabe will prolly win the clapper contest, but Eichel should easily beat him on accuracy and b-way. Should be fun to watch... I'll say McCabe hits high 90s and Eichel mid-90s.
  6. Wow, so sensitive for a big guy. I don't think he sucks. I just don't think he has the qualities to be a successful goalie come playoff time.
  7. I think they waived him before Larsson's injury?
  8. Lehner has been very good at home. I'd go Nillson then Lehner tomorrow.
  9. Interesting... did not know that. There needs to be advanced goalie stats that track rebound%, avg rebound radius, and what % of rebounds are possessed by the opposing team.
  10. This means they can't send him to Roch... right?
  11. This is the yahoo Live game of the day... http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/live-video/ Sabres coming off a convincing home win to get to 21-20-10, this is a game they typically lose, and Schneider is coming off a 32 save 5-1 W at Columbus.. he's heating up.... so... I don't like our chances.
  12. Wow, one-way deal? Good for him, he's been solid if unspectacular.
  13. Who wins? Who cares? O'Reilly beat out Foligno in the first matchup. Foligno clocked a 100mph clapper, and O'Reilly went 4 for 4 in the accuracy contest in 8.3s. Impressive... but Foligno is still dust tho, couldn't even get a shot off in the breakaway challenge.
  14. Are you just looking at sv%? That's nice but it doesn't tell the whole story. Vezina isn't just for sv%. Lehners save % is high because the Sabres give up a lot of shots from the outside... which any goalie should be stopping, so his stats are somewhat inflated when compared to top teams like MTL.
  15. Pick him up, waive D-Lo?
  16. https://www.capfriendly.com/expansion-draft Carrier will be protected. Remember GMTM traded for him, he's not going to let him get away for nothing. He's going to expose at least one of Foligno, Girgensons, and Larsson because they're not his guys and don't fit his blueprint. IMO I think Girgensons gets moved at the deadline for picks.
  17. He's not wrong.
  18. I'd like Okposo to get an extended look with Jack and Sam. There just isn't a whole lot going on with OReilly. I don't think a small speedster would fit with Jack and Sam, they need somebody with Foligno's physicality but who can score, like a LeClair or Kevin Stevens. Kane is probably the best fit right now, maybe Okposo... Vanek would be nice, Jeff Carter. McGinn was a good fit too. Bailey could get there maybe.
  19. Players crash the net much harder in the playoffs. The most successful playoff goalies are those who absorb pucks and control rebounds. Until he fixes that, I have little confidence in his ability to lead us on a deep run in the playoffs. Can he get us to the playoffs? Probably, but is that good enough?
  20. shootouts and b-ways tho
  21. I'd do that in a heartbeat... just to hear RJ do the M-m-m-m-m-att Duchene! And he's a stud, and close with O'Reilly. Nylander and next years 1st are unknowns. Reinhart will never be on Duchene's level. Ghost is an absolute disaster in his own end, and a turnover machine... hence the healthy scratches... I'll pass.
  22. We'd be raking GMTM over the coals if he gave up a first for Budaj. Just sayin'...
  23. Budaj got his 7th shutout of the season today. Lehner has 4... in his career. Just sayin.
  24. Nice clean open ice hit, then he turtles when Trouba grabs him and starts throwing punches. How the hell does he end up with 2 for charging and 5 for fighting? He was barely moving when he delivered the hit and he never threw a punch or dropped the gloves.
