The NFL combine is grown men, the NHL combine is high school age kids. I don't think strength tests are important for the NHL combine. I'd rather see on ice agility and speed testing... reaction time is also important. Those are things that really don't depend a whole lot on how physically mature you are. I think some junior leagues have extensive one ice testing.

The expansion draft "starts" on the 18th. Protected lists are due on the 17th. Their "picks" will be announced during the NHL awards on June 21st. The Cup Finals game 7 is the 14th. So that leaves the 15th-16th for deals to happen before the "draft" officially begins. And I believe there's also a league wide trade freeze starting on the 17th-20th. The rules also say they have a 48hr window before the draft to sign FAs... so is that 48hrs before the 18th? Or does that start on the 18th as well, since they announce their picks on the 21st.

Well, he only had something like 2 TDs through the first 9 or 10 weeks that season, so I rage-traded him, then much to my chagrin, he went on a tear to end the season. As a result, he was a mid-round pick of mine for 2016, only be let down again... never picking him again!

I had Maclin on my fantasy team the past two seasons, to say he was a disappointment would be an understatement. He's not very good folks.

Why? Team A might incentivize Vegas to sign player X, then trade him to team A after the draft... essentially giving team A a jump on Free Agency.
