  1. This is fun... a total crapshoot. The Knights will have a meet and greet with fans and players (picked in the expansion draft) on Friday afternoon before the NHL entry draft party at T-Mobile arena. I'll be in Vegas early Wed, I'll let you know if I spot any familiar faces on the strip.
  2. They can only take one in the expansion "draft". But they could do a deal immediately after... they "pick" Carrier, then BUF trades them Moulson and a 2nd for Vegas' 3rd or something of lesser value. Based purely on ability, I wouldn't exactly hate the idea of keeping Bogo around. He'd provide good depth, albeit expensive depth. The issue with Bogo is that judging by his body language and the way he talks in interviews... he seems like one of those guys just happy to be in the league that Eichel was referring to. When talking about creating a winning culture off the ice, I think he's a guy that needs to go. Whether or not JBOT sees it that way, time will tell.
  3. Same applies for the defense IMO. They don't have to get under the cap until closer to the start of the season. Taking higher priced guys like Johnson, Vatanen, Enstrom, etc.. would give them some trade ammunition. Of course, other teams knowning they need to unload some of these guys might weaken their position as well.
  4. I'm surprised you had trouble reaching the floor, I went well over the cap.
  5. Why does McPhee owe Buffalo a favor?
  6. So Housley just snaps his fingers and the puck magically exists the zone?
  7. Kulikov... and his salary would not count towards the cap floor they must reach with expansion picks. Which is fine, because it frees up money to pick higher priced guys like Neal, Bob Ryan, etc...
  8. BUF wouldn't need to trade Kulikov's rights to Vegas. Vegas can negotiate with him right at this very moment and sign him if they agree on terms. He would become BUFs pick. If that happens, or whoever they decide to pick, there is always the option of trading them a Moulson or Bogosian, so I'm not going to be disappointed if neither one of them is the expansion "pick". precisely
  9. no Marchessault? A 25 year old 30 goal scorer making 750k?
  10. I still don't see Antipin as a top 6. He's a depth guy at best, most likely starts the season in Rochester. He's undersized and poor in his own end based on what I saw of him in the Worlds. What exactly does he bring to the table that people are putting him in the top 4?
  11. IB is not a hack. He's a reliable source.
  12. Bogo's problem is he's brain dead in his own end. I can't see how Housleys firewagon attack fixes that.
  13. Why? he's 27 entering his prime. He showed flashes of his old self the last couple weeks of the season. Buy low, sell high, I'm buying.
  14. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/assemble-the-knights/user-pick?UserName=SVMZNQNC Yeah I'm over the cap, but then I'm wheeling and dealing for picks/prospects. That's a damn good team right tharr
  15. He hasn't been healthy, but he looked more like his old self down the stretch. He could be Dr. Phil's Arvidsson.
  16. Lots of Ennis hate on here. When healthy he's a dynamic goal scorer, slick puck handler, great is small areas. Even when he's not scoring he makes it difficult on opposing defensemen. If I'm Vegas I try to sign Kulikov during the exclusive window. He would become their pick from BUF. But then also try to trade them Moulson which they could use his veteran leadership and power play expertise. Could happen.
  17. I liked Carrier, surprised to see him unprotected over Larsson/Foligno. Was right about Ennis tho :)
  18. It can be done if you load the desktop version of the site.
  19. Very Darcyish trade.
  20. Thanks, yeah I'm pretty stoked, as are my kids. Just need to remember to load up on fireworks on the way home. IMO, by today's standards, Larsson is slow. He has decent quickness in small areas, but he won't be the guy leading the rush up ice or winning puck races.... same with Foligno. I just don't think they're good fits. Baptiste would be better, or Bailey, Fasching.
  21. He's not wrong.
  22. I have a source deep inside the Vegas organization who will remain unnamed. Seriously tho, just a hunch based on the way Housley talked about him, and he seems like the type of player who fits his style of play vs slower plodding types like Foligno and Larsson.
  23. He did smoke inside as well. It seemed like whenever he was waiting for his car he had a cigarette in his mouth.
