  1. Leon is an RFA this summer, Reinhart next summer.
  2. I think he'll be better, he's still developing. Statistically, depends on his linemates.
  3. I think Nylander will eventually be moved along with a bad contract. He's not a JBOT type of player.
  4. I don't get that impression. He's just not on Jack's level. He's not going anywhere.
  5. I've been saying it since before the draft... Mittlestadt is going to be a star in this league. If he was there at 8 you have to take him, easily BPA. It showed today, and I suspect he may only need 1 season at the NCAA level with his off the charts compete level.
  6. It would give JBOT the reputation that he doesn't treat veterans well which would hinder his ability to attract UFAs.
  7. I think he'd be great in Rochester. Could develop into a Beauchamin type guy down the road.
  8. That's quite a bargain IMO.... he's one year older thank E. Kane. Would you give Evander that same deal?
  9. That would be ideal, but it won't happen because of their salary and seniority. You don't treat veterans like that, it would be a black eye for JBOT.
  10. If all 3 of Bogosian, Moulson and Gorges are still on the roster come October 5th, I'll consider this offseason a failure, and put my hopes playoffs on the back burner for another season.
  11. *no relation to Ron Jaworksi
  12. I don't think either of them reach a hearing.
  13. I think Bailey, Fasching, Baptiste, Nylander and Guhle all play the vast majority of the season in Rochester. They want a winner there, and those 5 should be leaders on that team, let them grow together and learn how to win together.
  14. The goalie stops pucks. The forwards and defensemen play the game.
  15. I'll allow it.
  16. I think he'll miss about a dozen games, and Housely's system isn't kind to forward production. Jack won't be asked to carry the puck as much due to defensemen rushing the puck and joining the offense. Why will that cause a drop in his production? Hear me out. Most of Eichel's goals come from the outside, shots from high in the slot, above the circles, etc. In Housley's system, (assuming he incorporates NSH's o-zone attack), they like to cycle the puck up high in the zone to free up a d-man jumping into the high slot for a scoring chance. No longer will Eichel circle deep in the zone come up high and shoot. Instead he'll cycle up high with the d-men or act as a decoy deep in the zone. This will significantly reduce his scoring chances.

  19. Sneaky Casey?
  20. Yes, I'll explain in more detail later. Stay tuned.
  21. I'll say somewhere around 25g, 40 assists, -15. Takes a step back under Housley. Bylsma gave him free reign.
  22. I'm not entirely onboard with this. Sure, it's a copycat league and right now the PIT model is the hot trend. But it was just a few short years ago that the LAK model was the way everybody wanted to go.... big forwards playing a heavy game, wear down teams physically, etc.. The league evolves so fast that copying another franchise and hoping for the same success rarely works out. BUF is copying PIT, but the majority of teams will put resources into designing systems to counter the PIT model.... what exactly that is... who knows. But I'd put money on the idea that whoever figures out how to counter PITs speed game will be the next multiple Cup winner. I'm afraid BUF will just be caught in the tide at that point.
  23. I'd be shocked if Eichel signs an extension this Summer. He has every reason to play out the final year of his ELC considering the injury he suffered last season. It makes no sense for him to sign now.
